Chapter 69
'I don't want to deal with these people. All I want to do is tear their heads off.'
'I will help you; my canines are ready to bite his neck.'
Anthony was fuming to his wolf Rocky when he got off the phone. 'I can't be like this around Melody.'
'Mate doesn't listen to us. She is going to help those evil wolves.'
'I need to talk to my father before I lose my mind.' "Dad, where are you?"
"In the office, Son. What can I do for you?"
"Dad, I need to talk to someone, this trip to go see Drew and his father is making me a little crazy. I have a sinking feeling that we are walking into a trap, this trip is a bad idea."
"Calm down. You're setting everything up to protect Melody and the rest of us. They are not going to do anything if Melody is there helping his dad."
"He may wait for us to fix his father, but he is coming for her and the pups. Every inch of my being is telling me that."
"Anthony, you are one hundred percent right. I won't lie to you. You can never trust a man that wants what you have."
"He has no right to her. Why would he want what is not his?"
"You have what most wolves want, a strong pack, a mate that is worth her weight in gold, and pups that are beautiful. Not forgetting a family that stands with you. Son, can you comprehend what I am saying? There are many other Alphas out there that want what you have, not just Drew."
"I know I am a lucky man, and you're right there are others out there that want what I have. None of them are going to try to take it from me. I am so angry I don't know what to do with it. If I could tear them apart, I would feel so much better."
"My advice to you is, don't lose your temper and start taking it out on the wrong ones, then you may lose the right one. Talk to Melody, talk to me, talk to whoever you feel safest with, letting them know how you feel. Take a lot of runs, letting Rocky out will help. Mostly remember who makes you smile."
"I'm going to try, Dad. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. That man deserves to get his ass kicked, all three of them need to know their place."
"You have done everything possible to protect her. Don't worry so much. We'll keep her safe, we'll keep them all safe."
"I hope so, Dad. Thanks for the talk. I better go get packed; we have a lot of stuff to take on this trip. Did you realize how many wolves are coming with us?"
"I had to get two planes to fit them all. Laurie and Frank are coming with Carley, she said her daughter was not dealing with that trash without her. Branden and Bonnie wanted to go so Bonnie could help Melody take care of Alpha Kevin. Then Kody wasn't letting his mate Amanda play at a concert around those sleezy wolves, they can't leave out their boys Zack and Sam. Your uncle I don't have to tell you what he had to say about them."
"That doesn't include me, Melody and the five little munchkins."
"Stop calling my grandpups munchkins!"
"I like calling them that, it fits them. I forgot about the councilman and his group."
"I handled it, that is why we have two planes, and I am hoping the top floor of the hotel is big enough to fit all of us."
"Thank you for handling the transportation. Did you get two moving vans to get all our luggage and baby items to the airport?"
"Stop being dramatic. It's not that bad and it's only for three days, it will fly by."
