Chapter 91
"You and the rest of your men take the bus back to the road you took it on. Once you're there drive another thirty minutes in the direction they were going. Make sure it ends up in a ditch. Then bring the four cars back to the meeting place. Once you are done that, I will give you the second half of the money."
"She isn't your mate, is she?"
"She is my mate."
"Tell me did she leave you on her own or did they take her like you said?"
"That is none of your business, you got paid for the job. If you want the rest of your money mind your own business."
The boss was pissed, he snarled at him "You got one over on us, make sure you pay us or else you will be the one that will regret it."
"As soon as you finish your end of the job to my satisfaction, the money will be waiting for you."
The boss turned to his men. "Load up and follow the plans."
As the six mercenaries started loading, the man second in charge came over. "Boss, this isn't good we have to fix this."
"We will later, it can't be done now. We'll talk when they leave."
As soon as the cars are cleared off the runway, the plane takes off. The man was visibly pissed. "Their gone, now what?"
"The ones that they took the women from are going to be looking for those men. We are going to tell those men what we know, then we are going to help them get the women back. We will wait for them on the road, they will come to us."
Eight hours later the plane lands in the desert. "Michael, you have to give the pups and the women water they are dehydrated."
Michael peered down at her. "This is all because of you. You started this and now you are asking for something. You should be glad I still want you."
"It isn't their fault I left; please give them some water."
"There is water in the cars if they get in without any trouble." He grabs the back of Laurie's head, pulls her in and gives her a kiss. "My lips are the only ones you will be kissing from now on. Unless you want your pretty little girl punished."
Drew is giving orders when Melody sees him. "Drew, do you think you are going to get away with this? I mean you are going to get in trouble and take your pack with you."
"They won't find you and you will be with me. Like it or not you are mine. Mine to love, to protect, to do as I want."
"Do you hate me this much? If you cared for me, you would have left me where I was happy."
"I brought your friends with you to make you happy. You have always been ungrateful. You could have been happy here. Instead, you made a mess of my life, and still when I bring you back with your friends you are still ungrateful."
"How could you say that? You wanted to stop me from what I wanted to do and lock me up in your house."
"I can't get you out of my mind. I can't and won't live like that anymore. I am the one that loves you. Hate? No, I never hated you; you hate me. I would have done anything you wanted. All you had to do is ask. From the minute I left you at that hotel I ached to be back by your side. Now you will be by mine."
"Anything but a family and a life. It was not a life you offered me. Can't you see that? You wanted to make me nothing but a whore, even less of a wolf than I was already. If you could have loved me and accepted me, I would have been by your side my entire life."
The cold look Drew gives Melody makes shivers go down her back. His voice is gruff and dominating. "I accept you now, you will be with me forever." He turns to the others. "Ladies, please do not give the guards a hard time, you are pregnant and have pups, we don't want you to lose your pups now do we."
"Drew, tell me how do you live with yourself? Don't you have any heart?"
"My love, I have not had a heart since you left me. Do you know how much I love you and want you?"
"This isn't love, this is a spoiled child wanting what he threw away and someone else picked up."
"You might be right. None of that matters to me or you. You are here with me and there is nothing you can do about it. Get in the car."
Drew walked over to the first vehicle and took out a black bag, he then took it to the pilot. "Here's the second hundred grand for the job you did today. Now get the plane out of here and make sure no one knows where you were."
"It was nice doing business with you."
The pups are exhausted, eight hours on a plane and another hour in the car without food has them cranky. When the car stops it doesn't look like there is anything around. "Time to get out."
"Where are we?" Bonnie looks around. "Isn't this where the one bunker is?"
Eric comes over and runs his hand down the side of her face. "You are a smart girl."
The bunkers are totally underground, the first door laid flat with the ground, dirt was thrown over them to disguise them. This way no one would notice they were there. Once they pass the first door there is a set of steps that lead to another door. This door is heavy metal. It was made to keep the rogues out.
"Ladies follow me down here. You will find food and water waiting for you on the other side of the door."
As soon as Drew opens the second door Kevin comes out yelling at his son. "You didn't listen, did you?"
Ignoring his father, Drew instructs the guards what to do. "Everybody in, come on there is food, water, and beds inside." The women were holding the pups' hands protecting them the best they could.
Kevin couldn't take seeing the way the men were treating the women. "I should have knocked some sense in you a long time ago." Kevin throws a punch at Drew.
He dodges it, "Old man, you have been sick and don't have your strength back yet. Not that you could hurt me anyway." One swift punch in the gut and Kevin was laying on the ground. "Get them settled."
"Alpha, what about Alpha Kevin?"
"Leave him with the others. He has become a trader."
Laurie and Bonnie help Kevin up. "What did you do to this place?"
"This, Bonnie, is where you are going to live, until we decide what to do next. Behave and you will have whatever you need, disobey and you will be punished."
"Drew, you do know they are going to come looking for us. No matter what you think, Anthony will not stop searching for us."
"You think so?" He says as he walks over to Melody grabbing her by the nape of her neck. The look of desire can't be missed, as he pulls her closer placing his lips on hers. "I am going to be the only one kissing you from now on." Melody pushes him away and wiped her face off. He smirks at her, "You'll learn." He walks out of the bunker.
"Drew, son. You can't do this we can still fix this. Take them back."
Eric shuts and locks the heavy metal door as they leave the bunker. He then turns to one of the guards, "You drive the car over the door."
"Eric, you do some of the stupidest stuff."
"It's not stupid. If they make it out of one door, they can't open this one. Not with a car on it. It also hides the entrance we are trying to keep hidden."
They both laugh. "You really are something else."
Down in the bunker, Kevin looks at Melody and the rest of the women with regret on his face, "I am so sorry, I tried my best to stop him. My son has lost his mind."
"Right now, we have to take care of the pups and the pregnant women. Help us get them water and cool rags to help them relax. I don't plan on losing any pup today." When Kevin doesn't move Laurie shoves him.
