Chapter 59

Bonnie finally pulled up in her car tired, excited and hopeful that Melody would want her there. Michael was close enough to the gate he could hear what they were saying. He felt so cocky hiding right under their noses. 'I have been here for two weeks, and they are so stupid. You never leave underbrush near your entrance. I could take out their guards so easy. If this is how they protect their pack, we are going to get in and out with our prizes easily. By the time they figure out they are missing, it would be too late.'

The guard stepping up to the car caught Michael's attention. "Miss, what is it you want?"

"I've come to see Melody."

"Is she expecting you?"

"No, I wanted to surprise her. If you could please tell her that Bonnie is here?"

"Wait here please." The guard mind linked Melody. "Luna, there is a woman at the gate that wishes to speak to you."

"Did she give you a name? What does she look like?"

"Her name is Bonnie. She is a little thing about your size with dirty blonde hair and pretty blue eyes. Her voice is sweet."

Melody raised her eyebrow, 'That has to be my Bonnie. Only she would get a man to fall for her that fast.' "I will be right down. Don't let her leave." Melody starts to go out the front door, "Shit! Harriet, I am leaving keep an eye on the pups."

"Where are you going?" Papa Charley asked.

"Bonnie is at the gate. I have to go make sure it is her."

"You're not going without me." Five minutes later Melody comes out the gate with Papa Charley, along with an extra few guards.

Bonnie had gotten out of the car to stretch her legs. When she saw Melody she ran toward her, "Melody, I've missed you so much." Papa Charley stepped in front of Melody and won't let Bonnie touch her.

Melody put her hand on his shoulder, "Papa Charley, it's okay. This is Bonnie, my best friend for life." She squeezed passed him to hug Bonnie. "I've missed you too. How did you find me?"

"That idiot Drew sent me here. He is stupid enough to think I'm going to bring you back to the pack." Melody sets Bonnie at arm's length giving her a strange look. The face Melody made had Bonnie laughing. "I hope you have pull here, because I want to stay here with you. I should have gone with you when you ran. I never should have let you go on your own." Bonnie's laughter turned into tears, Melody hugged her tighter and cried with her.

"Let's go to the house. We can talk. One of you men drive her car back. You and I have a lot of catching up to do. Get in my car."

In the bushes Michael was pissed. 'Fucking idiots, I knew she wouldn't help them, she hates us. Everyone knows the only reason she didn't leave with her parents was she was hoping to see Melody again.'

Michael crawled out of the area by the guards to make a call. He needed to get cleaned up and call his stupid son. "Eric, I want to talk to Alpha Drew and you."

"He is in his office; I am heading there right now." Michael heard a knock on the door. "Drew, Dad is on the phone."

"It is about time! Tell me what is going on, this waiting is getting harder by the day. Michael, you are on speaker."

"I have bad news, your plan backfired. Bonnie isn't talking her into coming home, she's going to ask them to let her stay here. The two of them hugged and cried when they saw each other. Then Melody personally drove her through the gate."

"That's just great!" Drew glared at Eric.

"What! I didn't know she would do that." Eric glared back at Drew. "You thought it was a good idea too. You even gave her money to go. Now look I lost MY mate."

"Shut up you damn fool."

Michael couldn't take their arguing. "Both of you stop arguing. Her coming here gave me a plan. If I play nice and talk my way in their pack. I could at least see what is up with security. Find out where they live."

Drew hated what he was going to say, "I'd wait a few days to let things settle down first. It would be suspicious if two of you go there in one or two days."

"I'll wait like you said. Knowing my soft-hearted daughter, it shouldn't be that hard to talk my way into the pack."

"Do what you can do, we can take her if we have to. Knowing the lay out of the place is an advantage."

"Alpha, I want to ask you a favor. My wife moved here with Melody. If we take my daughter, I want to take my wife too."

"It shouldn't be that hard to take one more. As long as it doesn't interfere with getting the bitch."

Eric acted like a little kid throwing a temper tantrum. "If you two are getting the women of your dreams I should get mine. I want you to get Bonnie for me."

Drew rolled his eyes. "If we can get her, then yes, we can bring all three back. Don't forget we also have to get my two pups. Whatever the plan is we have to make it a good one."

Earlier that day before Bonnie came to the gate.

"Uncle Charley, it has been six weeks since the concert. I am beginning to wonder if they are coming or not. They haven't given us any problems. Not even a phone call."

"I know it is strange after everything Michael said, they aren't around. We need to keep our guards up and make sure we don't let them fool us."

"That is why I am nervous going to this meeting in town. I am only a couple of hours away, but I don't feel right leaving her and the kids."

"You have put this meeting off twice. Cameron told me until you go to the city and handle this meeting the new business can't open. That business means jobs and money for the pack."

Beta Branden, who was getting last minute instructions, added his opinion. "You have to take care of business we got this. I will not let anything happen to the Luna."

Anthony sighed in frustration. "Uncle Charley, are you sure you can handle the kids and Melody. She can be stubborn."

"Boy, will you get the hell out of here before I have to put you over my knee. You do know I can do it right."

Melody walked in on the end of the conversation. "Papa Charley, what is wrong with you. You know you would hurt your back picking up that big baby there."

Melody's teasing as she came down the stairs had Anthony glaring at her. "I don't like leaving you and the kids with assholes out there somewhere. Don't you leave the pack and stay either at home or the hospital. There are four extra guards to follow you and with Uncle Charley you should be safe. Branden is staying in the guest room to be a little safer."

"Stop worrying, I will be fine here. The sooner you leave the sooner you will be back. I love you, so go." Melody gave Anthony a kiss goodbye.

Anthony isn't even out of the pack when he is on the phone. "Dad, I'm leaving, you have the pack. Make sure they keep an eye out for Melody and the pups."

"Son, I know how to take care of things while you are gone. Melody will be fine, I promise, try to relax."

"It isn't easy."

"If you don't you are going to make a mess of your relationship with Melody. She doesn't need this tension."

"You're right, I will work on it."
