The end of the next day they were halfway across the country. Kody starts talking, "At my age I never thought I would find a mate then the Moon Goddess gave me Amanda, she is everything to me. She has given me two sons and now is going to give me two daughters. Her and I have talked about wanting a family and how many kids we wanted. She told me it was up to me; all she wants is for me to be happy. I teased her that I want ten. She said that would be fine she was halfway there."

The other men chuckled at the statement. "She is a good person." Cameron adds.

"She plays her violin like an angel and takes care of the boys and me like it is nothing, what am I going to do without her? There is no way I can live without her. And the boys, they call me dad. I never thought I would be a father, even wanted to be. She has given me all of this. Who the hell does he think he is to take all this from me? All I want is to rip him into pieces." He holds his head in his hands, as he faces the floor.

Frank tells him, "I know how you feel. I found Laurie late in the mating process and she is everything to me. Then she was sad she couldn't give me more pups. I was happy with what I had. We had a surprise of our own we didn't want to share yet, not until it was done. We are adopting a family. There are two boys, one is eight, one is five, and a little girl that is three."

"The ones that came to dinner a few times and went to the park with other pups."

"Yeah, the eight-year-old wants to be a beta for you, Anthony. To be like me. Laurie met them when she started helping Melody at the orphanage. Their parents died in a car accident; the little girl was only two. Unfortunately, they don't have any other family. She fell in love with how cute they are. The minute she got home from the orphanage she had me go over and meet them. They are great kids; I saw how they made her smile when I went there. The boys are going to be strong when they grow up. We have done all the paperwork. They are ours, all we had to do is wait for the birth certificates to come in our names, then we can take them home. The certificates will be here in two weeks."

Anthony smacked his leg. "We are happy for you, that is great news."

"I don't know, what if we aren't back in time to get them. It might not work without her, they might even say we can't have them."

"I am the alpha of the pack; I will take care of it. Our nannies will watch them until we get back. Laurie deserves to have them there when she gets home."

"What am I going to do if she doesn't come back to me? He almost killed her once, he might do it again."

Anthony rubs the back of his neck, "She will be fine. He wouldn't hurt her now, he wants her since he has seen her with you. He looked at her like she was gold. Melody will have a fit if he touches her. We will get her back it will work out."

Cameron takes a turn, "Well, since everyone is talking about pups. Christine has been talking to me about starting a family. I told her I had always wanted more kids so she said she would do it for me. We haven't tried but we haven't stopped it if it happens."

Anthony gets a half smile. "So, I might get a little brother or sister?"

"If I have my way, you might get two of them. We are not that old, werewolves live a long time. Christine is nine years younger than I am. So, my grandpups can play with my pups. Do you think I am too old to start all over?"

"You are a great dad and an even better grandfather. I know how lucky your kids would be to have you as a father. The only thing I want is for you to be happy, if that makes you happy then go for it."

Branden sat there listening to them talk. He stares out the window. "We don't even know what we are having yet. She didn't want to have kids for a few years. She was happy being a nurse and it being just us. I was the one who wanted a pup. She got mad at me and threw me out of the apartment when she found out what I did."

"What did you do?" Kody asked.

"I put holes in the condoms. She didn't see them at first but when she got pregnant, she said she was going to sue the condom company. She went to get one to look them up and tell them off. Then she saw the needle in the drawer with them. I thought she was going to kill me. She almost shifted right then and there. That was one of the dumbest things I have ever done; to say the least I will not do that again."

"Is that why you were sleeping in the room at the pack house?"

"Yep, tossed me out without a thought. After a week she let me back in, but I can't touch her that way yet, I had her almost talked into making this like a second honeymoon we would stay an extra few days and start over. Now look, that damned Eric wanted her. She told me he made passes at her, he better not be touching her now, or I am going to rip his head off."

"Maybe, I should do that to Melody. Talk her out of getting fixed and then use a needle to put holes in them."

"I could see how pissed she would be. Our Luna is caring but that trick would take her over the top."

"You do not know your Luna, Branden. She wouldn't get mad. She'd just love them and not give me any until she was fixed. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, and such a forgiving nature. I miss her already. I hope he doesn't hurt my pups because he is jealous, I pray Melody can keep them safe."

Cameron clears his throat. "You should give her a break with more kids. They never come one at a time and she does not want more for a reason. Listen to her and love the ones you have."

"Do you know why she doesn't want more?"

"No, she hasn't told me."

"You are most likely right. She never has a minute to herself. As long as she comes back, I will take what I got and never complain. I know how lucky I am."
