It's my pleasure. Don't
worry, aku okey aje
dekat sini. Kau pula
macam mana?

BEBERAPA saat sahaja selepas message itu masuk, Ellia terus mengirimkan balasan.

• AELICE
❝I'm not really okay, but
I'm getting better.
Thanks to your lovely
gift, it just means a lot
to me.❞

CL menghela nafas lega setelah membaca message Ellia.

• CULLEN
❝Jadi, kau marah aku tak?❞

• AELICE
❝Disappointed at first, but now...
No, not anymore. Saya sedar
awak mesti ada alasan kenapa
awak discharge without telling
me anything.❞

• CULLEN
❝I'm sorry, Sofie... Aku tak
dapat nak bagitahu kau
apa-apa. Tapi, aku nak
kau tahu yang aku betul-
betul anggap kau sebagai
kawan aku.❞

AELICE
❝It's okay. I know... Kawan tak
semestinya kena cerita semua
benda kepada satu sama lain.
You know... There's a thing
called 'privacy' in friendship.
So, saya takkan minta awak
cakap pasal benda ni. Because
you've got your own privacy.
And friends should know that
there are lines they can't
cross, right?

Segaris senyuman muncul pada wajah CL. Cara Ellia berfikir masih lagi mampu mengagumkan dirinya. Benar, bukan? Dalam persahabatan, tidak semua hal wajar dibincangkan antara satu sama lain. Bukan kerana tidak menganggap mereka sebagai sahabat, tetapi kerana ada sesetengah benda yang sukar disuarakan.

There is always that line in friendship which you shouldn't cross. It's a matter of privacy and respect. Friendly reminder, invading someone's personal space isn't what friends do. Friends are meant to support and care for each other even when they just know the small things, not forcing each other to give away their secrets or their hidden stories so that they can give their own judgements. It's never a sin to keep something personal on your own in a friendship. You have all the rights to do that.
