Boxes laying open against bare walls, making the small—and very empty—apartment look far bigger than it was...

A few personal belongings dotting new surfaces...

A jar of shells on the kitchen counter...

Two hand paintings, magnetised to an empty fridge, not yet cold...

The moment Yunho heard sounds outside the door, he dropped what he was doing and immediately went over to open it. He was met with Mingi and his arms full with another box, and he instantly reached out to take it from him.

But the moment he felt the weight to it, his eyes widened. 'Ya,' he scolded, staring at the box. It was far heavier than he'd expected—textbooks. 'You promised not to get this one,' he complained, blinking across at Mingi and his sparkling, beautiful eyes.

They were eyes that were filled with mischief and flirtation as he laughed airily, and—to his surprise—spanked him on the ass. 'You're such an unnecessary gentleman.'

His heart fluttered, but he kept a serious face none-the-less, encouraging him inside. 'Ya. I'm being serious!'

Gracefully, Mingi rolled his eyes, stepping inside and letting the door shut behind him. 'Yun-ah, I'm not making you carry my textbooks all that way. You're my boyfriend, not my slave.'

'But they're heavy,' he argued, feeling a touch helpless. He didn't know how to get him to listen and let him do the hard things for him... 'You could have taken the other one...' The one with chopsticks and paper towel and a toaster—the light box.

Walking over and putting the box with the other books along the wall, he went straight over to the kitchen to uncap a water bottle, and gently deposited it into Mingi's hands.

'Mm~ You're being extra sweet this afternoon,' Mingi hummed, leaning against the counter beside him, taking a sip, and then offering it to him. 'What's gotten into you?'

Shaking his head, he encouraged him to drink more. They'd been going back and forth from his car, many storeys downstairs for a while, and he was worried that he would exhaust himself. It was too fresh in his memory, Mingi's habit of fainting, and he wasn't willing to revisit memories of him in hospital again in the flesh.

Not that the brunette seemed concerned at all. 'Yun?' he asked with a hint of amusement to his voice.

He let out a breath, letting his eyes glaze over his body almost reflectively, checking for injuries, before returning in relief to his face. 'Maybe I like hard work?'

Mingi laughed. 'Oh baby I know you well enough now to know you are the laziest heap of sexy man I know. I never would have guessed, but your love for laying around all day doing nothing, is wonderfully unmatched.'

He let out a breath of surprise, feeling the corner of his lips twitch a little in amusement. He wasn't so sure about sexy, but yes, he supposed he had discovered a love for doing nothing. He had quitting uni to thank for that, for he'd never experienced how incredible it felt to not have to be constantly busy, while he'd still been a depressive, bipolar med student.
