Nabi holds her father's stethoscope in her hands with all her love as she beams up at her new kindy room classmates. It is show and tell day again—her favourite day, and she can't wait to tell her friends about the stethoscope her daddy gave her. She thinks it's so pretty, especially the way it has a rainbow in it, and she loves the little writing—my strawberry J xxx~

Daddy said it was a present from Hwa appa from before she was alive~

She thinks it's pretty, and it's prettiest, because it's her parents'.

'Eonnie~ What did you bring today?' she asks her friend beside her, peering into her lap.

Her friend beams. 'A have a photo of my mommy, my daddy and my baby brother~' She says proudly, showing her the photo. 'We went to the park~'

Looking at her friend's photo, she smiles. 'Pretty~' she says, looking at the colourful picture of Hyejin's family in the flower garden she remembered Uncle Woo and Sannie Samchon had taken her to. Hyejin's family are very smiley, but...

She frowns, searching the photo. 'Where is your other daddy?'

Heejin laughs at her, and Nabi doesn't really like it. It makes her feel silly... 'We only have one daddy,' Hyejin says like she is very smart.

It makes her feel like maybe Hyejin is confused... 'But I have two daddas...' She looks back at the photo, and frowns when she sees a lady holding Hyejin's baby brother. 'Who is she?'

'My mommy, silly!'

Mommy?

'I don't have a mommy...'

Hyejin laughs at her, and it makes her want to cry. 'Everyone has a mommy,' she says, snatching back her photo. 'That's the rules.'

'But I don't...' she urges... She wants her to believe her, but...

Hyejin narrows her eyes at her. 'If you don't have a mommy, then you're weird.' And with that, Hyejin gets up and runs away to sit with the other girls, leaving her all by herself.

Tears instantly spring from her eyes, and as she hugs her daddy's stethoscope to her chest, her teacher comes over to her. 'I want to go homeeeee,' she cries. She decides she doesn't like kindy. And she doesn't like her friend either.
