Yeosang had had a shocking shift at work. Feeling like he was a student all over again, the amount of times he'd had no idea what he was doing had eaten away slowly at his confidence, right up until the very last few of hours where low and behold, he'd been called to theatre over and over—at the very least for procedures he knew well, but still exhausted him none-the-less.
By the time he'd collected his things from the locker room—not even bothering to change out of his scrubs—and made his way towards the west wing, he felt like twelve hours had flown by in a mere blink of the eye.
Dragging his feet as he wandered through the hospital, he went to run his fingers back through his hair to free the uncomfortable plaster it felt like, however as he did, he realised his scrub cap was still on. No wonder. Grabbing hold of it and yanking it off, he moaned as he rubbed his hand over his head, ruffling his hair. He couldn't wait to get home and shower, have a tall glass of wine, and sleep.
However just as he made the effort to drag his gaze up from the floor through the foyer towards the west-wing door, he let out a surprised breath when he laid eyes on a very familiar face...
'Jong,' he whispered under his breath, feeling a small smile itching at his lips.
He forced his legs to take him across the foyer to him, nibbling into his lip as he did. 'Well this is a surprise.'
It was even moreso, when suddenly, Jongho took his hands out from behind his back and presented him with a bar of chocolate. 'For you~'
Instantly, his mouth watered. 'Jong...'
Smiling, he reached up and gently accepted the chocolate, enamoured that it was his favourite. However far distracted by the sweet, when Jongho suddenly swept him into a hug, he quickly forgot about it, melting into his chest and smoothing in against him. 'This is nice~ You should be careful. I could get used to this.'
'Good. Because you should,' Jongho replied, and the conviction in his voice surprised him.
It was true, after their rather abrupt ending and beginning jammed into just one day, with how determined Jongho had seemed to be on letting them go, he'd not been entirely sure whether he would accept starting anew. It felt like a big ask, even though in their own ways, they both had equally big things they had to accept and move on from, and he hadn't been sure if Jongho would change his mind.
However after a good night text, a good morning one too, and now this...
'My boyfriend is spoiling me,' he murmured, still a little shy, but filling with butterflies none-the-less.
'As you deserve to be~' he replied, and stepping up close, he wrapped him up in his arms, swaying them contently on the spot.
It was enough to have his heart over spilling with content, melting into his embrace as he wrapped his arms around him.
'What do you feel like for dinner?' Jongho asked gently from above.
He nibbled on his lip, feeling his cheeks blushing. 'Chocolate and dinner? Whatever did I do to deserve all of this?'
