Hongjoong had taken Nabi with him to attend a parents class, dropping Seonghwa at work while he was at it, and left home alone, Wooyoung was sitting at Hongjoong's desk, surrounded by a mess of psychiatric textbooks he had dug up from every corner of their flat. They'd come out from under beds, sealed boxes, random stacks in the corner of his brother's room, and—more simply—out of the organised spread of bookshelves in their living room and both his Hyung's rooms.

He'd been determined.

However having spent all morning pouring through contents pages, indexes, and google searches correlating to the books in front of him, he couldn't seem to find anything on what he was looking for...

'Why?!' he groaned, and as he finished scanning the last book in his exhausted stack, he huffed, leaning back in Hongjoong's office chair and closing his eyes.

☁️ ☁️ ☁️

Tears were welled in his eyes, however bravely, they were not quite falling as he sat at the dining table opposite doctor Yang, in all her Mickey Mouse earring glory.

'That must make you feel very vulnerable,' she said gently, blinking up from his homework diary between them, to meet his gaze.

It was hard to hold, but the better he became at it, the braver and the stronger he felt, determined to be strong, especially with his brothers beside him. So badly, he wanted to make them proud of him. To prove somehow, that everything was okay...

Only, today's session, made it incredibly hard.

Yang Saem, had asked him why he thought he was so afraid of hospitals...

It was the least detailed page in his diary, and for good reason...

He wasn't sure he knew the answer.

'How do you think your feelings have changed over the past months, with me?' she asked with a clarity filled, gentle voice.

He swallowed, feeling nausea overtake his low lying anxiety as he thought back to the extreme outbursts of terrified tears he had gone through in the beginning. They didn't feel all that long ago, and even still, before she visited, he still felt sick to his core...

However the tears had slowed, and his anxiety had somewhat lessened marginally.

'I don't think I'm as scared anymore,' he whispered. 'But... I still feel it...'

He pinched his bunny, listening to the soft rattle in it to try and distract himself from the throb of anxiety in his chest.

'Why do you think that is?'

He swallowed, glancing down at his book. He had asked himself a thousand times, but come up with nothing. He knew it likely had something to do with his parents, but what that was exactly... 'I'm not sure,' he whispered. 'Because of my mom and dad...?'
