A/N: I am making the sad decision this morning to drop back to second daily posting 😭 I've hit some long chapters that are taking a while to get through, and I've only got about 6 chapters up my sleeve before I run out 😫 I'm also working on a christmas present I hope a few of you might enjoy, so time is a bit short atm. Sorry!!!!!

Judging by the way Hongjoong could hear Wooyoung sobbing in his room, and could see through his ajar door the way San was wrapped around him in a sombre embrace, he assumed the brunette had finally broken down... Broken down and said what he'd so clearly been struggling with over the past days...

Letting out a saddened breath, he reached into Wooyoung's room to gently close the door, and when he returned to his own room and his bed, he was relieved when he was met with open arms.

'San will come through. I know he will,' Seonghwa said gently, resting his cheek atop his head.

He felt his heart going out for the boy that was as good as his own little brother. 'It will ruin Woo if he leaves him...' He thought it would ruin him and Yeosang too, by extension. Seeing how broken Wooyoung would be... Yeosang would be inconsolable, throwing away everything in his life he had worked for to give his brother all the extra love he would be missing out on...

He quite thought it would hurt him, too.

'I can't see Woo go back to guys who don't care about him...'

'He won't,' Seonghwa replied calmly, pressing a kiss into the top of his head. 'San will be okay,' he said surely. And with that, he gently let go of him, leading him to their bed. 'Come here,' he said, guiding him to sit on the edge of the mattress with him.

And with that, Seonghwa leant an arm behind his back, taking his hand in the other to caress idly. 'Back in high school, there was one time Min didn't come to school for a long time,' he said, something faraway in his voice.

He looked up into Seonghwa's face and watched the emotions on his face.

'We'd all been friends for a while by that point, and the more we got to know one another, San and I could kind of sense that Min had been hiding something from us. He would have days off school now and again, and then claim he'd just missed the bus or had a migraine... He'd always text, but on this one occasion, he didn't.'

'That doesn't sound like Min,' he murmured, trying to imagine the Mingi he knew going off grid and ignoring his friends...

Seonghwa shook his head in agreement. 'I can't remember if it was two weeks, or almost two, but either way, San kept telling me that he had this bad feeling, and with every day that went past, he got more and more worried.

So, despite knowing Min had some kind of serious aversion to having visitors over, we caught the bus to his place...

And that was how we found out about his father and his problem with drugs and aggression.'

Breath leaving him, he'd known about Mingi's father, but it still wasn't any less shocking. 'That was how you found out?' he murmured in mild horror.
