Wooyoung was so incredibly proud of himself, despite the anxiety and fear ripping through his body.

Sitting lengthways on his couch back home with his knees pulled up, feet resting on the cushions, and leaning back into San's chest with arms wrapped around his stomach, he held his notebook tightly in his hands—his pink bunny in his fingers as he bit into his lips nervously.

He had no tears, and the shakes of terror were so minimal that he only shivered now and again...

San swept his hand over his stomach, before patting him softly. 'You feeling okay, Kitten?'

He nodded, squishing the life out of his bunny, and when he looked up to see his brother emerge from the hallway, he shifted his feet closer to his body so he could sit beside them. 'Sangie,' he said, reaching out with one foot to gently nudge his thigh with his toe.

Heavy expression on his face, Yeosang immediately reached out and let him latch onto his hand, squeezing tight. 'You're doing so well, Woo.'

He tried his best to smile. 'Do you think so?'

His brother nodded, just as San pressed a kiss into the side of his head.

'All that smutty book club clearly served you well,' Yeosang breathed, voice light.

He could tell Yeosang was still uneasy and trying to distract him, but alas, he nodded. 'She said it was for my phobia... Like holding a tarantula...'

But it had been a while since they had read books in their sessions. Slowly, they had transitioned from books, to show and tell, slowly introducing and getting to know one another, building trust between them. Both Yeosang and Hongjoong had participated right along with him, and at first, he had felt bad that he was so reliant on them... Felt that it was unfair of him to depend on them being there through his therapy sessions when they had their own lives...

However he'd never been able to bring himself to tell them they should let him do it alone, and one day, Doctor Yang had told him why she thought their presence was healthy, rather than a hindrance.

Showing and telling... Bringing their lives together, one little piece of them at a time...

He was learning to trust her with his family too, not just himself, and although he'd not noticed at the time that he was making progress, now that he was sitting on the couch minutes before his doctor's arrival, tear-less and ready... Although he was still scared, he could finally see how far he had come from the sobbing, terrified mess he had been in the beginning.

'Well this is unexpectedly wholesome,' spoke a new voice, and distracting him from his reflective thoughts, he looked up to see Hongjoong emerging from the hall, followed by his husband who tapped him gently on the back, causing him to turn. Gently, Seonghwa bestowed Nabi into his arms, before giving him a peck on the cheek, and together with his sleepy daughter, Hongjoong sat down on the single couch, and let his eyes rest on the three of them. 'Are you lot right there?'
