A/N: Every time I see this chap title, I think I need to put an |M in it, and then I remember Seongjoong are literal fathers and then I feel guilty for having a gutter mind. 🤦♀️
Anywho~~~
P.S... Do u like the changes I made to their living room?? 🥺
Pushing up to sit in bed, Hongjoong wiped his tired face before stretching his shoulders. Saturday morning, their bed was otherwise empty—his husband nowhere to be seen, since he'd had so much trouble waking up that morning. However with the sun beating in through their closed curtains and very awake voices floating in through his door—nearly shut with a single shirt in the door jam—it was time to get up.
'Uhgmnnnhr—' he groaned as he stretched his back, before throwing his bare legs out of bed and standing up, letting his oh-so-comfortable too-big shirt fall to his thighs. He should have probably bought a new one—it was starting to become threadbare...
Whatever, it's comfy, he thought as he stretched and cracked his neck, listening to the sounds in their flat.
Yeosang and Woo must be home, he thought as he dragged a hand through his hair, hearing the way Seonghwa's voice was light, talking about Nabi and her newest habits. He could hear her brand new rattle shaking away as she happily played out in the living room with them, cooing in her baby language, before her father no doubt turned his attention to her, attempting for the millionth time in the past couple of months to get her to repeat the word dad back to him.
Amusingly, it had become his new fixation, determined to be the one she said it to first. If he had a penny for the number of times he'd gotten out of the shower to hear him saying, 'dad, dad, dad, dad, dad,' like a broken record, trying desperately to get her to repeat it to him, he could have retired on the spot.
Smirking, he yawned as he opened their door, kicking the shirt that had been in the door jam across the floor towards their dresser, before wandering out into the hall, determined to make it to the kitchen and make coffee, before anything else. Sleep still threatened to tempt him back to bed.
'Ah, you're up. Morning babe,' floated over Seonghwa's voice, before his more affectionate voice said, 'Nabi-yah, say morning daddy~!'
Chuckling, he walked straight over to the electric jug, in dire need of caffeine.
However, just as he took a mug from the drying rack, he heard a startled gasp...
And frowning, he turned around...
'Why Hongjoong... That is certainly a morning look...'
He'd thought Yeosang and Wooyoung had been home...
He had been sorely mistaken.
