A/N: Happy 800 chapters I guess 🎉
It had been a long time since Hana had been to a college party. Not because she disliked them. On the contrary, she actually loved the thrill and excitement of letting go and having fun, drinking and dancing and laughing and doing all those things they were supposed to do growing up.
Making life worth living.
Being in the arts cohort at uni though, her friend group hadn't exactly been as privy to party invites as others might have been; like the football team for instance. They'd always gone out every weekend, and honestly, she'd kind of been jealous. She'd always gone along with her friends to the clubs on Friday nights, dancing her night away on three shots without a care in the world.
She liked going out. After all, having fun was her favourite thing to do.
However it did feel a little odd being back at a college party, after she'd already graduated.
Many of the faces she didn't recognise, all looking quite a bit younger and fresher, and though there were tons of people about, she struggled to see even one person she knew.
Of course, apart from Minhyuk, of whom's elbow she had her arm curled through as she let herself be led through the halls, since he already seemed to know his way around.
'Who's party is this anyway?' she asked as she squeezed through a packed doorway after him into the kitchen where there were at least more lights to see through and less loud music to shout over. Her throat always turned scratchy.
'One of the hockey guys,' Minhyuk replied, as he led them into the corner of the kitchen for some room to breathe.
'Figures,' she murmured under her breath. She should have known by the abundance of sports chads parading around in jerseys and jeans like clones.
Turning her attention to the island bench, covered in selections of alcohol, she was excited to kiss her soberness goodbye.
She'd been about to pluck a bottle from the selection too when suddenly, a guy with four shot glasses juggled in his hands swooped into her consciousness, glancing her once over.
'You new here?' he asked with an easy charismatic flare—friendly.
She felt her cheeks blush as she glanced back at Minhyuk. 'More like alumni?'
The guy nodded as though in appreciation, although surprise seemed clear across his face. 'Well only the best for our Sunbaenim!' he replied, handing her one of the shots. 'I'll see you round then?' he asked with a friendly click of his tongue, before heading back out to brave the crowds.
Glancing at the shot glass of pink liquid in her hands, she sniffed it and felt her mouth water as a sweet aroma met her tastebuds. She'd been about to down it too, though suddenly, the little glass was stolen from her.
'No way,' Minhyuk interrupted, taking the shot and—to her horror—pouring it down the sink.
'Ya!' she cried.
