Sunsets always looked so much more interesting, from Heejin's rooftop flat.
Not that Lee Jihoon was necessarily referring to the sky...
The orange-red light spilled in the windows and onto the floorboards and rugs, making the little particles in the air glitter in the afternoon glow, and having woken up from a nap, his still hazy sight slowly drew about, until finally, he laid eyes on his boyfriend...
Jinnie...
He must have showered, only in his fluffy, wooly socks, and his beloved The Rose band T-shirt he always wore to bed. He seemed to be dancing in the kitchen whilst mixing something in a bowl to the sound of soft music that he recognised—unsurprisingly—as his favourite band, spilling from his phone somewhere. His near jet black hair seemed even darker damp, and his skin bore a golden glow in the afternoon light.
He's beautiful...
Rolling onto his side, he didn't register the smile on his lips as he watched him dance across the old tiles, swiping his finger through whatever he was mixing and licking it straight from his skin. He heard him moan under the taste, and too easily, he felt it resonate in his gut in the form of butterflies, and heat...
'I, wanna be, red~ 🎶' Heejin sung along, voice sweet but raw as he lifted onto his toes and shook his hair back like he was on top of the world, enjoying himself to the music.
He'd never wanted to hug him more.
The past months had gone by so quickly, even though it felt like every moment he spent with Heejin stretched out for hours. They'd taken things slow, and just as Heejin had promised, he'd not let him get ahead of himself or do anything he might come to regret. It had given him the time he'd needed to process the change and the way he felt inside.
But rather than scaring him off, the more time he spent with Heejin, the more he became sure that he was where he wanted to be.
Heejin was fucking incredible, and he became more and more sure of it every day. He was so gentle but strong, sassy, yet serious, and the little freckles scattered across his nose and cheeks was the prettiest thing he'd ever seen, even when flour covered his cheeks.
There was a reason he'd spent just about every single night, here, with Heejin, rather than home in his own bed. And he thought that reason, was that he simply enjoyed being surrounded by him. Surrounded by his scent, his home, his flirty, sweet little comments— Even his goddamn judgy teddy bear.
He huffed at the thought of the bear he knew was sitting in the corner of his bed directly behind him, no doubt glaring into the back of his head.
Blinking out at him, he felt a serene kind of calmness come over him. Heejin's carefree dancing was somehow both cute, but also somehow attractive, and he couldn't help his eyes dragging from the way he was on his toes, the dark scattering of freckles rising up above his socks, up his bare legs to the hem of his T-shirt that jived around his thighs, his waist twisting and hips swaying to the music, cooking bowl in his hands and head tipping back and forth, ruffling his hair...
