Hongjoong had had a hard time concentrating properly at work. He'd made it through his rounds, and three of his first appointments for the day fine, but he couldn't manage to focus every time he had a second alone. Wooyoung's hypnotic therapy session was still in the forefront of his mind, and endless memories of his own from growing up had been stirred up, surfacing every free moment he had.

Things he hadn't even thought he'd had any recollection of anymore, even from when he'd been in preschool...

One in particular stood out.

He wasn't sure where he'd been. Maybe it had been kindy, or maybe he'd been visiting the Kang's, but alas, he clearly remembered sitting on a rug surrounded by soft toys, with Wooyoung sitting in his lap. The boy was sad, likely because his parents had gone away again, and the fact that he couldn't get into the plastic wrapper of his muesli bar wasn't helping the situation.

"Wooyoung-ah," he'd say to him, gently reaching around to take it from him. "Let me~."

He peeled the plastic back and gently placed it back into his hands, but when the little boy took a nibble of it, his face screwed up, and sadness washed over him as his tummy rumbled.

"Here, Young-ah~" a little Yeosang said, crawling over and taking the bar, putting his in his hand instead. "Eat mine~"

Wooyoung's eyes looked unsure, but taking a nibble, a slow smile came across his face, and Yeosang's beaming smile stuck in his memory as he watched. White chocolate trail mix was his favourite, but still, he gave it to Wooyoung anyway.

Blinking slowly, with bright, glittering brown irises scanning the play mat, his gaze settled upon the corner...

And following his gaze, Hongjoong reached out and grabbed the stuffed toy—a rabbit with a purple tutu over blue overalls, and a bow around its ears. "Woo, do you like rabbits?"

Wooyoung hummed, nodding as he gently took the toy, staring at it with such beautifully curious eyes. "Bunny..."

"What about giraffes?" he asked, picking up another and giving it to him too.

A small smile wove onto his face as he chewed on his bar and watched the toys, putting the bunny down in his lap to pick up the giraffe and inspect it, before suddenly turning and reaching out to give it to Yeosang. "Sangie like g—jir—guraff."

Yeosang's eyes lit up at the giraffe—indeed his favourite—but crawling over closer, he sat down directly in front of them and put the giraffe right next to the bunny. "Joongie need toy too," he said, looking around intently.

Wooyoung suddenly pointed behind his friend. "Moo," he said happily.

However as Yeosang immediately went to fetch the toy, Hongjoong giggled as he saw what it was. "Woo, that's a fox," he said, helping him pull down the wrapper more around his muesli bar.
