POV 3rd PERSON

"Sally has accepted." Hecate said.

Grover jumped back, Hecate had unexpectedly appeared behind him while he was walking around the woods at camp. If he didn't know any better, he would've kicked the goddess.

"Sh- she what?"

"Percy will come to camp today."

"She's gonna tell him today? But it's the first day of summer."

"She says it's the best of all of us." Hecate said vaguely.

"Should I escort him?"

"Yes, that's why I'm telling you this."

He nodded, gulping. His last escort had been.. not entirely successful.

"Where can I find them?" He asked.

"I'll take you there but I cannot interfere after that, you better not fail, Satyr. I'll be back soon."

He nodded again.

POV PERCY

Hecate had brought me home and teleported away. Today was gonna be such a good day, I could just feel it in the air.

Mom hugged me, "Oh, I've missed you so much."

"Me too mom."

When I pulled apart from her she looked at me a little sad.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Nothing." She shook her head, "Were going to Montauk today." She smiled at me.

My eyes widened, "Really?" I asked, excited.

"Really."

"Sally!" I grimaced at the shuffling coming from outside my room, "When is my bean dip gonna be ready?" He yelled.

"Soon, honey." She said over her shoulder.

He's still not gone.

"I already talked to Gabe, I'll quickly make the dip, pack up." She said kissing me on the cheek before walking out.

I quickly finished packing my bags just as mom entered my room again.

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

We walked out of the driveway and I didn't bother to try and see what that man was doing. It's probably something useless anyways.

"Excited?"

"Very!" I said grinning.

She looked back a little wistfully.

She played some music and we both jammed to the songs.

Summer was gonna be so amazing.

"We'll be there, in what? 20 minutes?"

"I think so.. I wasn't really paying attention." I said looking at the things passing by us.

"When we get there, I have to talk to you about something." She said.

"Of course, mom, anything." I said sensing her sadness.

She nodded, taking her eyes off the road for a second to look at me.

"How was the year?" She asked me.

"It was great, you remember Annabeth?" She nodded, "We talked a lot more, it was fun."

"Told you that you'd forget all about your dear old mom."
