I don't know what I'd expected but it was definitely not this.

The next few weeks passed by simply and now, it was the last day before Hogwarts.

My schedule was simple enough,

Eat. Train. Talk to Annabeth. Train. Eat. Train. Talk to Annabeth again. Train. Eat. Sleep.

But the simplicity of it all was perfect to me. Training was fun, it was challenging and intense but it nothing about it changed. It stayed the way it was without becoming boring.

That's why I loved it so much.

In some ways, Annabeth was like that too. She was the same person I had met in that train almost 2 years ago, maybe few things different but overall, still the same girl, but it was never annoying or tedious to talk to her.

"Come on, you can do better than that." Annabeth said as I hacked a dummy to pieces.

I panted, "This is good."

"No, you're being too slow, you idiot. If it wasn't a dummy, it'd be gone by now."

I pouted, "I'm trying."

"Try harder." She urged.

"What do I get in return?"

"Well, I'll tell you what you don't get: you won't get trampled by your enemy in combat."

I huffed, "A cookie sounds better."

"Oh grow up." She rolled her eyes.

"Speaking of, when's your birthday?" I asked.

"Why?" She questioned.

I shrugged, "I just realised that I didn't know your birthday." I said.

"July 12."

I looked at her surprised.

"What?" She asked.

"Nothing."

"When's yours?"

"August 18."

"I'm older than you?" She said, "Okay, I'm not too surprised."

"Yeah, you act older."

"It's called being mature."

"It's called being boring. Gods, you sound like Harry."

She glared at me, "I'm fun."

"You said cutting hair is fun." I rolled my eyes at her.

"Trust me, being able to control how you look with be very fun." She said, a mischief smirk tugging at her lips.

"On second thought I like my hair the way it is."

"I'm kidding, gods, you're so gullible."

"I can't tell." I huffed, "It's not my fault I was made to be a honest person."

"Yeah, you say that like you don't tease me whenever you can." She rolled her eyes.

"You like it." I smirked at her.

"I really don't."

"Hmm." I hummed, nodding my head, "Definitely."

"I don't."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Seriously." She was getting agitated.

"I know."

"Urgh, you're so frustrating." She said.

"I know." I grinned at her.

She glared at me but it wasn't full of hatred, just mild irritation.
