"I hate that you're perfect, perfect for me."

Annabeth felt hurt. She kept replaying the way he had jerked his hand away in her head, and the way he acted like she didn't exist.
It normally pained to see him, but this was just salt in the wound.
It had been a few days since it had happened, but it didn't hurt any less.
At some point during the week, Harry had been admitted into the hospital wing as well after getting his head cracked during a Quidditch game.
The three had been deemed well enough to leave the hospital wing, the day prior, and everyone was glad that they walked out without any complications.
She looked across the table and saw Percy, smiling like nothing could possibly affect him.
Hermione noticed and placed a comforting hand on her arm.
He knew Annabeth was upset at how Percy had reacted to his hand holding hers and felt really bad. "He was probably just startled," Jason had said, tying to comfort her. "You know how Percy is.."
She had frowned to herself. "Not anymore."
Percy sat across the room, flashing his charming smile at other girls while she could barely contain her own sadness whenever she felt the necklace, cold against her skin.
She couldn't bring herself to throw away any of his gifts, even the bracelet that he'd given her was kept in her hidden robe pocket, along with her invisibility cap. She wore the necklace he'd gotten her, hidden under the layers of clothing.
Hidden but not forgotten.
She could still feel it wrapped around her neck, the metal, Wisegirl outline sending shivers down her spine.
She was so upset at her for being this upset.
The prophecy had said that there was possibility he would die, so she was even more upset for falling in love with him in the first place.
The son of the eldest gods, she sighed. I should've listened to mom.

"You okay?" Matthew asked, "You look a little pale."
"What? I'm fine," Percy said.
His guarded expression said otherwise.
He sighed, "I'm fine, seriously, just.. just a little tired."
"And jumpy," Rachel added. "You've been acting weird since you got out the office."
He rolled his eyes. "Didn't you say I was always weird? Pick one."
"I'm not kidding," she frowned. "What's wrong?"
He looked at her uncomfortably, but was saved when a voice sounded from behind him.
