Days passed, and Jason and Thalia became more like real siblings with their playful banter and their sibling like comments. They had also figured out what clue the egg held.

During this time, Percy had also grown slightly relieved. Though it was bad to do so, he couldn't help it.

He had promised Bianca that he'd keep Nico safe. Now that Nico wasn't next in line for the prophecy, he felt like he could breath a little better.

"What's wrong?" Rachel asked.

Percy shook his head and smiled, "Nothing."

She narrowed her eyes at him, "You sure?"

"I'm sure."

"Hmm.. are you worried tomorrow?"

"No, it'll be great." He said.

"You know how to dance?" She asked.

"I'm a man of many talents."

Rachel had gotten false hope from the ball and had really started wishing that she hadn't done what she did.

"You look worried too," Percy said, "What's wrong?"

Rachel stared at him. How could anyone not like him?

"Nothings wrong." She said, "Just nervous."

"We'll do great."

They were walking towards the great hall, alone since Matthew had to use the bathroom.

"I have a question." She said.

"Shoot,"

"Do you really want to go with me?" She asked.

"Of course," he said, "Why wouldn't I want to go with you."

He's just being nice. She told herself, Why is he so nice?

"Is someone saying something?" He asked, "You shouldn't listen to them. They're just jealous."

She nodded, not trusting her voice.

"You're an amazing girl, Rachel. You shouldn't forget that."

She smiled at him, Curse his gentle nature.

"Come on, they're probably waiting for us."

Annabeth was getting sick and tired of these guys asking her out.

She leaned against the wall, "The next person to ask me out will get a gut punch."

Harry shifted awkwardly, "Umm.."

The group stared at him.

"Well.. I was wondering if you'd like to go with me, as friends of course."

Annabeth looked at him, surprised, "You don't have to, it's just the ball's really soon and I haven't gotten a date yet."

"Sure, sounds like fun."

Harry looked surprised by her response, since she had just threatened the next guy to ask her out.

"Really?"

She shrugged, "Like you said, I don't have a date."

"What about all those guys?"

She scrunched up her nose, "Those guys don't know me."

He nodded, turning to Ron, "Sorry, Ron. You're on your own."

"Traitor," he muttered.

"You don't have a date?" Hermione asked.

He shifted awkwardly, "No.."
