I had to leave really early that morning to catch my flight, so we quickly got ready and he drove me to the airport. I tried to make him just drop me off at the front, but he insisted on waiting with me.
So we sat there together, dreading when the plane would come into view and we'd have to part ways for the hundredth time.
"I'm going to miss you so much," he whispered.
"We're never really going to be apart you know," I said, trying to lift his spirits. "We'll still see each other almost every day."
He set his hands on my shoulders and leaned his forehead against mine. He stared straight into my eyes and the usual sparkle in his was missing. All that was there was longing.
There were a fair amount of people around and I'm sure at least a few of them gave us funny looks, but I didn't care and apparently he didn't either.
He took a shaky breath, "But I need you. The physical you. I need this feeling. It's like there's a part of me missing when I'm not with you. My whole body aches and I can never stop thinking about you."
I sighed, "I know, I feel exactly the same way."
He slowly moved his hands up to my cheeks and tilted my head just enough that our lips brushed against each other as he spoke. "You're more than my girlfriend, Angel. You're my other half. I love you." He furrowed his eyebrows and shoved his fingers in my hair, "Goddamnit, I more than love you. I love my family and friends, but this is so much more than that. There isn't a word that can possibly describe the sensation I get with you."
I choked back a sob, "Why do you always have to make this so much harder?"
He ignored me and continued, "Don't ever forget that. No matter what happens, no matter how bad life gets, I'll be here for you. I'll always be here, and I'll always more than love you."
My vision was blurry from tears and my voice wavered as I said, "You promise?"
"I swear."
My breath trembled, "I more than love you too."
He pressed his lips into mine and I pushed back with as much force as possible. It was as if we were trying to fuse together, make it so that this feeling would be permanently imprinted on our mouths. I knew what he had meant, there honestly wasn't a word that could define what this was. Except, perhaps... true love.
Yes, of course. It was so special and unreal that it had to be something most people didn't believe existed. Something that everyone yearns for, but so few actually attain. If this were a fairytale, he'd be the one to wake me from a deep sleep, to break the curse set upon me. But this was so much better than a fairytale. This was real.
A loud rumbling interrupted my thoughts. The plane had arrived.
I whimpered and pulled away, gazing into his eyes one last time.
"Don't say goodbye," he whispered. "Just say... see you soon."
I smiled and nodded, "See you soon Charming." I stood and he kissed my hand before finally letting go.
Much to my surprise, I didn't get grounded when I arrived back home. Sure my parents were upset, but I guess their relief overpowered it, which I'm not complaining about. I could tell they were disapproving when I said I was no longer a virgin, but they tried to act indifferent.
It didn't take long for me to fall back into my regular routine. My daily schedule was pretty full what with having to record so much more to get ready for school. I was going to have to cut back to uploading one video a day instead of two like I had been doing all summer, but my subs said they understood.
