We came to a large area that was sectioned off by gray sheets and a woman came over to greet us.
"Hi, are you the youtubers?" she asked.
"Some of us," Squid replied. "There are still a few coming."
"Well, everything is ready if you want to go now."
David looked at me so I said, "Don't you wanna wait for Stampy and Ash?"
He shrugged, "I'm not bothered."
"Alright, then come with me," the lady said, so we started following her. We stopped when Lee and my dad didn't come with us.
"What's the hold up?"
"I'll wait and tell the others you went ahead," Lee said.
I looked at my dad and he shook his head, "Rides aren't really my thing."
"It's not an actual ride, right?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's basically just go karts going through decorations. Nothing very exciting," the lady agreed.
He shook his head again, "That's ok, you guys have fun."
"You sure?"
They nodded so we walked through the sheets to where a go cart type vehicle was parked. It had two bench seats but no steering wheel since there was a track on the ground that pulled it along.
"Looks like we get our own private ride," David said.
I tensed a little, "Please don't say it like that." He glanced at me apologetically and for a moment it seemed like he was going to say more, but he must have decided not to.
He slid in and patted the spot next to him. I rolled my eyes and sat as far on the edge of the seat as possible. The track started and we were off. The whole thing was designed to be like your journey through Minecraft, starting with nothing and working your way up.
"Well," he said after a minute, "this is fun."
"Yeah, I'm ecstatic," I muttered.
We fell into awkward silence again so eventually I decided to start a conversation. "How come you didn't pick me to come on stage?"
"You said I should give someone else a chance."
"Well, yeah, but it looked like you were gonna pick me."
He shrugged, "I probably would have but we actually weren't allowed to pick anyone with a pass."
I smirked, "Ah, so that's the reason."
"Your death stare was kind of telling me to back off anyway."
"Good."
"Right..." He grinned mischievously, "Well maybe I'll just have to invite you on tomorrow then."
"You can't."
"Oh yes I can."
"Well, I guess you could, but you'd make a fool of yourself calling up someone that's not even there."
He looked at me quizzically, "What do you mean?"
"We're not coming tomorrow."
He blinked, "What? Why? You have to."
I raised an eyebrow at him, "I have to? According to who?"
His hands fidgeted nervously, "Well, I mean, you don't have to, but I-" he stopped himself. "But nobody comes for just one day."
