As Mariana and I sat down at our regular lunch table, my other best friend, whom I've known since kindergarten, came plonking down next to me.

"Hello hello." He laughed, pecking my cheek before taking out his lunchbox. "Did you finally start packing your own food?" I chuckled, looking at all the food he stacked into his lunchbox. "You bet I did. Did you ever see my lunchbox this neat and delicious?" He smirked, making both me and Mariana crack up. "Yeah, that's only going to last for like tow more days." I took a big chunk out of my sandwich.

Liam is the lazy one out of the three of us. The one with the driest sense of humor but yet the fun one. "Oh sour ass Adriana. The sarcastic personality that will cut your sould when you come near it." His monotone making my sarcastic as saltiness even more fired up. "You know it. And you've seen is here first!" I announced, just to have my bubble popped when 'Mr. Mendes' took a seat next to me.

"Can you not?" I looked at him disgusted, but the smirk on his face only grew winder and wider. He enjoys feeding off other people's irritation towards him. And he doesn't stop toll he gets the satisfaction he wants.
"Hey buddy. This is not your space so can you just back off." Liam chipped in, but it doesn't look like Shawn likes being said up by a dude himself.

"Hey buddy. Yeah I'm talking to her so why don't you just back off." He smiled over to Liam. God I hate this boy. "No girl ever stood me up like you're doing sweetheart, and I'm not having it." He said, leaning closer to me as he locks his eyes on mine. "Well I'm not any girl and sure as hell not your sweetheart. Besides you blew me off so..." He took one of my sandwich slides out of my lunchbox, devouring it in front of my eyes.

"Oooh big mistake dude." Mariana looked at him with big eyes as mine grew wider as well. "What?" He asked, munching on. "You can not just take a girls sandwich!" I raised my voice, hitting him with the lid of the box. "Okay okay chill! Geez you don't need this half, you're already fat enough so you can do without it." He said, taking with his mouth full.
Even though nothing can really much get me down, even this sarcastic soul has her limits. And my body was always an insecurity of mine.

"Leave!" I yelled, pushing him off the seat next to me and he quickly stood up. "Fine! You know what I really don't need you!" He stumped off. "You already said that you moron!" I yelled, hearing my friends cracking up around me.
Good.

It's like the second time he said that he doesn't need me so why does he keep coming back to convince me to help him. He said it himself, he doesn't need me, he just can't take it that I stood him up. "He's a douche. You're not fat Adriana." Liam said softly to me and I smiled faintly over to him.

He knows.
He's the only one who knows my insecurities and what I feel ashamed of. I wish Mrs. Grundy never asked me or even named this so called opportunity to help Shawn. Or well, I wish I never stayed behind to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Lesson learned.

I'll from now on get that satisfaction over my brother's phone calls with his girl. It's not as juicy but at least I'll still be eavesdropping on another pointless relationship.

Won't last long, but yeah.
