Adriana:

I was still up in my room but then I heard a raucous coming from downstairs.

"Keegan! What's going on!" "A soaking wet man wants to break in to our house!" My heart pounded in my chest before I ran downstairs. After, eventually, getting my door open again. "What do you mean break in?" When I came downstairs I had a baseball bat in my hands with my eyes still puffy and red.
"We're being hustled! Get out of the w- Shawn." I dropped the bat to my side after almost hitting him. "I could've harmed you!" I yelled, grabbing his hand to get him out of the rain.

"Haha! I knew you'd come out of your room if I told you there's a robbery going on." "So you left the guy outside in the rain just to get me down. You're a real douche Keegan." His eyes turned furiously as he looked at me, looking like he wanted to hit me hard. "Well now we all know that you can only rely on your sister to keep you safe." Shawn spat at him before turning back and looking at me. 'Thanks' I mouthed to him but he looked extremely sad.

I saw his eyes were red but I don't know if it was from the rain or if he was really crying. "Can we maybe uh... t-talk?" He asked hesitantly and I nodded, wanting to heard what he has to say.
"Come with me." We walked up to my room and I handed him a towel to dry off but he didn't take the offer of staying a while or getting dry clothes.

"I'm anyways going home in the rain too, I just, I needed to say that I'm sorry. It takes a lot of me to say that but I really am. I should've done something when Richard touched you because it's not right, I-" I stopped him. "It's okay Shawn. Really." He only sighed, running his hands through his wet hair.

He looked good, but I'm still afraid to let him in. I don't know how he'll ruin what's already broken down, but by the look of it, I had an impact on him.
He cried about the situation.
Before, I would've never seen him as the one to apologize or even feel guilty about something. But everything and everyone bad, has a reason behind them going that direction.

We are just too quick to judge it.
I may not have even been their own choice.

"Go home Shawn. I'll see you for math tomorrow." He walked down the stairs to get outside, "Hey! Just for the record. Maybe it'll be better off to stay away from me at school. For the sake of your friends and me.

But I'm still proud of you for nailing that test." He nodded, a small smile on his lips before walking out. I ran back to my room, looking out the window to see him running off.

"Who are you Shawn Mendes?"

💞next week💞

Keegan said he wanted to stay home today, with that he also meant he's not even giving me a loft to school.
Why does he say these things on the very last minute?
Now I practically need to sprint to school so I can be in time. And what a plus, it's raining. "Keegan you're a real prick you know that. Why do you hate me? You have no idea what you're doing to me, but yeah, thanks for the love. I appreciate you." I said angrily as I walked into his room, leaving just after my speech. "Bye!"
He yelled back with a laughter.

He knows exactly what I've been through, yet he still feels the need to act like a total dick towards me.
I flipped my hoodie cap over my head and started walking fast in the pouring rain.

A few blocks away from my house I looked at the time. Shit. I'm going to be late. "Adriana! Hey!" I heard a yell, looking to the road to see the black figure of someone running after me. "Stay away!" I yelled, picking up my past, but so did the human. "Hey it's me." I was pushed in between two houses where a small tree was.

"Shawn? Why are you running after me? You almost gave me a heart attach." I wiped the raindrops off my face as I looked at him. "Well like you, I was on my way to school but now we can stay home or go somewhere." He said, my eyes geowing big.
"What! No! We have sch-" "We're already late Adriana. Skipping it now will not be as big as you think." I looked down at my watch, seeing the time already gone by and for the first time ever, I'm late for school, and practically skipping it now.

"I can't." I panicked. "It's one day of your life. Live a little." His wet hair falling down on his forehead, his breath forming fog as he breaths out.

Why, in this moment, does he look so attractive?
No. Snap out of it.

"Common." He held his hand out to me. I just looked down at it, not sure if I should. But I want to, even though I don't want to. Does that makes sense? He stepped closer to me, still holding his hand out for me to take. "One shot Adriana. Risk it or leave it." I sighed hard, groaning a deep groan as I turned around in a circle, for no specific reason, before looking at him again.

"One shot?" He nodded.
I looked down at his hand again before slipping mine in his. The smile growing on his face, but at the same time looking so devilish.

He held on tight before we started running in a direction I'm unknown of.

Wherever he's taking me... I hope it's a new part of the puzzle he is.
