Shawn:
She came up to me. She helped me.
I was surprised but I couldn't have said those things if it weren't for her. I'm stronger when I have her on my side, I feel more alive.
When I'm with her I can do the unthinkable. After Rachel left, I let out a deep breath."Uhm.. well. I'll uhm- I'll go." She pulled out of my embrace and reached back down for her ice cream. "No, wait." I grabbed a hold of her hand.
"Thank you Adriana."
"Of course." She smiled faintly at me.That's a new start, she smiled at me. I just looked at her, probably staring and feeling my heavy heart being lifted with a small weight.
"Shawn?" She questioned and I snapped out of my gaze. "I'm sorry I-uhm..." she smiled again, only faintly still. "Thank you, again."
"I love you Shawn, I'm not just going walk past you when some bitch is messing around with my man." She chuckled, making me smile. She's okay.
We're okay.
Things will be okay.
"Sorry, I didn't want to make it weird. I should go." She scratched the back of her neck before wanting to walk away, but I grabbed a hold of her hand and gently pulled her back to me.
"Will you help me shop for some things?" Her smile curved back on to her lips as she then threw her ice cream tub in the basket again. "Okay." Her voice was soft and certain.
This is good, this is how I want it to be.
Us.
We made jokes, bumping each other from side to side, tackling over a pack of macaroni and honestly forgetting about the past.
When things settled down and we just wondered through the isles, I came to a settling feeling that I still have her heart, she still loves me and I'm still head over heals in love with her.I felt the top of her hand brushing against mine, and I looked down at her hand.
"You're thinking it to?" I nodded before feeling her taking my hand in hers, intertwining our fingers.
My heart was pounding in my chest, and my heart was longing to feel her touch again. She walked even closer to me and when we came in line to pay, she rested her head on my shoulder.
I rested my head on hers, kissing her throne and letting out a sigh of relief. "I miss you." She mumbled as she wrapped her other arm around my bicep. "I miss you too." I whispered to her and she looked up, locking her eyes on mine.God, I love her so much.
Why did I do this to her, to me, to us?
I offered to buy her the tub of ice cream, my way to try and repair her broken heart. After we paid we walked in silence back to the parking lot. "Do you need a ride?" She shook her head.
"I uhm.. I'm actually on my way to Liam's." She mumbled.I was confused.
What's going on between the two of them? I seriously hope that she hasn't move on already because my love for her is still too deep to just let go and move on.
I love her."Adriana I-" but she cut me off by crashing her lips to mine, her hand combing through my hair as she kissed me.
Wow.
She pulled away not too long after.
"I'm sorry it's just, I... I missed that."
"I missed it too." I kissed her again, but this time she pulled away quicker.
"I'm sorry I just need more time."
"And that's what I'll give you just please promise me you'll come back." She smiled."I told you Shawn, I'm always yours." She whispered, taking her tub of ice cream from my bag and walked off.
I know if she glances back there's hope... and she did.
She looked back at me with a smile on her face."You, Adriana Kendrick, you drive me crazy." I said to myself as I watched her walk away. Although it's painful to see her leave, it never looked so good.
I threw the things on the back seat and drove back home, blasting music out of the speakers to compliment my uplifting mood.
I couldn't help but smile about me and Adriana.Love is love, and if you fall deeply in love it's hard to fall out of love, especially after you stayed in love.
Excitement within me was on another level, and I was racing down the streets to get back home.
