Adriana:

I don't know about this Shawn guy.
He's very incoherent and I simply don't understand him, or what his intentions are with all of this. He's hiding things but I'm afraid to discover what they are.
What if it's terrifying?

I'm only here to help him out with his math, not to create a friendship or some special kind of bond to keep him up when he's down or motivated his self esteem to not be so depressed.
"Okay so rule one of The Life Of Shawn, is that you need somewhere to run when things tend to get a bit too much." He said, suddenly snapping me out of my thoughts as we parked up in a wooden area.
So there's rules to how he lives his life?

Interesting.
Wow.

"You're gonna kill me. I knew it." "I told you Kendrick. It's a place to run." My eyebrows furrowed together as I got out of the car with him. "Why would you, of all people want to run away from things? Aren't you one of those guys who stand up and hit every douche in your way? Looks like you got a good arm on you so why not punch?" I asked, pokig his bicep but seeing his head dropping to the ground as he looked down at his feet.
His hands in his pockets as his dark sunglasses still stuck on his nose.

"Everyone has something to run away from. You can't face everything and act brave all the time." That's all he said.
No reason, no more information, just that.

I followed him though, into the bushy field as he walked up to the ledge. "Shawn don't... go closer." I quickly grabbed a hold of his arm and pulled him back. "Chill Adriana. I've been here before." My heart was pounding in my chest but I let him go.
Clearly he knows what he's doing and what am I even doing?
Why do I care so much to even protect him?

"Come sit." He offered my a seat next to him on the ledge, sitting down on thr big rock. "I'm good here thanks." He laughed as he started kicking his feat, dangling over the side. "You're afraid of a lot of things." He said. If only he really knew. "Yeah. Everyone's afraid of something Shawn, you know that and you even said that yourself. Now can you please take me home so I can teach you and get this over and done with!" I said impatiently.

For some reason the look he gave me as he glanced over his shoulder, stroke to my heart. It was a look of devastation and disappointment.
Why would he be disappointed in me?
This dude gives me so many questions and thoughts, so much that I even feel confused and uncomfortable with the world around me.

He just got up, walked straight past me and back to his car.
Attitude.

"Adriana?" He asked as we pulled away from the cliff, a long period of silence overcame the space between us. But his one bare whisper broke it with power. The peacefulness was out. Even though it was taunting. "Shawn?" I chuckled as I looked over to him. Only a small smile playing on his lips.

"What will happen after all of this?" His question brought questions. "What do you mean? After what?" He pulled down on the side of the road, looking over to me as he raised his glasses up to his head. "After all of this. You helping me. Will things change or will I see you after it all? Will it go back to how it was?" My eyes grew big as he looked at me.
He really means it.
He wants to see me after this.

"Uhm.. I guess. Depends though." "On what?" I turned to look at him. "On if you can change your nasty attitude to the better so we can actually get along." He didn't say anything again, just turned back in his seat and drove off again.

Weird.
