Part 41: staying over

Shawn:

I was surprised when I saw that Adriana came to me at this hour of the night.
But I'm not complaining.

I'd rather have her here than feel all alone.
And the kiss.. oh my god.

"I'll take the floor, you can sleep on the mattress." "No no. That's okay. Just uhm..- lie down." She rolled over to the one side of the small single bed, trying to make a space for me to lie down next to her.
"Adriana this will never work." I laughed, seeing the smile on her face that warms my heart.

I never thought that I'd be capable of making someone happy again.

"Just give it a try, commong I don't want to sleep alone." She chuckled making even more place for me to lie down. Once we got settled down I looked at her.
The moonlight peeking in through the broken window complimented her perfectly and her eyes were shining like they stole all the stars.

I fell in love with the story behind her eyes.
I see galaxies and fireworks exploding in them when she looks at me.
She closed her eyes, and it's like the light in the room went away.
She's my light.

I fought my eyes to stay awake because no dream is more beautiful than the way she sleeps.
Now that she's asleep I can admire her even more.
The small freckles on her nose flowing down to her cheeks, just a few, her plump lips and dark brown hair falling perfectly in to place.
She's perfect to me.

She's too good for someone who's unsure about her. I brushed the back of my fingers over her skin, feeling how cold she is from driving all the way here.
"You should go to sleep." She mumbled, moving closer to me and hiding her face in the crook of my neck.
I felt her arm wrapping around my torso, making my heart beat fast.

"Why is your heart beating that fast?" She whispered, placing her hand down on my chest to feel my heartbeat. Her eyes were heavy, but I could see her fighting against closing them.

"Can we run away? Disappear for a few days or forever?" I whispered to her, feeling her tracing the outline of my lips, nose and jaw all the way with the tip of her finger. "If we run away, will you promise to stick by my side."
"I already promised that. Nothing changed my mind about that during the past few weeks." She's soft and strong at the same time, and that's a power that very few can master.
I look up to her, for she inspires me so much.

"I don't want to get you in trouble though." I said, "Trouble? I see it as adventure seeking." I chuckled at her statement, pulling her back closer to me and just holding her.
Who knew what this night could've held for us. We hd out first ever kiss, and in that moment I forgot all about my heartbreak and Rachel.

I-I'm in love with her and my heart aches from all the love she guves me and makes me feel touched in a way I missed and also never experienced.

It's weird how you start to miss the touching of another soul. "Goodnight Shawn." I pecked her forehead.
"Goodnight Ariana."
"You're unreal." She laughed, leaving a kiss in my neck before I too, drifted off to sleep in her arms.
