Shawn:
Five days never seemed to have past by this quickly. And I hate to say it, but we're already heading our way back home.
It was a week I'll never forget, moments I'll cherish forever and a place I'll always run away to with Adriana.
Whenever I get the chance to do it.
"Do we have to leave?" She groaned from the bed as I was already busy packing up our things. I zipped up the bag and walked over to her, laying down by her side again for the last few minutes. She wrapped her arms around me, playing with my hair as she nuzzled her head in to my neck.
"I hate to say it but yes, we need to head home today." She sighed, kissing down my neck before locking her eyes on mine as she pulls away for a slight moment. "Thank you for the most amazing week ever." She chuckled, pressing her lips to mine.
Giving me a scorching, lingering and loving kiss. "You have to get up. We need to be out of the room in less than twenty minutes." She immediately rolled out and rushed to the bathroom. "Adriana?" I jumped up.
"Hey, what's going on?" I asked panicked as I saw her crouched over the toilet. I reached for her hair as I rubbed her back. "What was in the pasta we ate last night?" She asked, only looking at me for a moment before throwing up again. "It was a uhm.. I think it was a paella pasta."
"Shit." She cursed under her breath.
"What? What's wrong with it? Is that why you're sick?" She nodded slightly. "I have a small allergy for shrimp." She chuckled, standing up to brush her teeth and get ready. I stayed in the room with her though, cause she wasn't very stable on her own two feet and her face lost colour really quickly. "Are you sure you're okay?" She nodded as I asked her after she got ready.
"Are you sure babe? I don't want to travel when you'll get sick."
"Maybe we can just get a water and muffin from the cafe." She said softly, resting her head on my chest as she pulled me in to a hug. I rubbed her back, kissing the top of her head. "Sure. Let's go." I took her hand in mine, grabbing the small bag we packed for luggage and we left the room.
Not turning back to look at it because then we'll just want to stay even longer than what we already feel like. "Did you enjoy your stay?" The receptionist asked as we handed the room key in.
I smiled back at Adriana, seeing the smile on her face growing as her cheeks blossomed a crimson red colour. "We enjoyed it a lot. Thank you." She chuckled, sending us off with a friendly goodbye and that she hopes we visit again soon.
We walked to the car and placed out baggage in the back. "Wait wait wait." She grabbed ahold of my hand just as I wanted to get in the car. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Let's just, take one last walk on the beach." She smiled sweetly, stepping closer to me as she chuckled. "One last walk." I kissed her forehead, intertwining our fingers as we took the footpath down to the beach.
There wasn't a lot of people, mostly just us and a few other couples or families here and there. She let go of my hand and ran in to the ocean, splashing up at me. "Hey!" I laughed, rushing up to her and grasping her in my arms, spunning her around.
When our laughter died down and we were both in the water, just looking at each other, I cupped her cheek, pressing my lips to hers.
"Thank you for the best getaway ever. I love you so much Adriana."
"I love you too Shawn. Thank you for everything." She kissed me one more time before we walked back to the car and took the road back home.
