You woke up and it was eight in the morning. It was honestly the best sleep you have ever had in a long time. You turn over seeing Carson passed out next to you. You smile, putting your hand on his face, caressing it. He lets out a deep sigh to let you know that he's awake. He opens his eyes, staring right back at you.
"Hi." You softly spoke.
"What time is it?" He stretches, making grunting noises to wake himself up.
"Eight." You answer.
"Oh, ugh we got to get to work." He wines.
You groan, rolling over towards him and he lifts up his arms to tuck you into his side.
"So, did you think about what we talked about last night?" Carson asked you.
"Kinda." You sigh.
"Your brothers seem to really miss you." He tells you. You then push yourself away from him, sitting up from the bed.
"What about you?" You asked him, looking at him in despair. He then sits up next to you and places his hands on your legs.
"I'll be fine, Y/N." He assures you. You look down, sniffing. Your eyes started to water without hiding it. Carson knew, so he lifts up your chin and faces you towards him, making strong eye contact. "Go back to your brothers, Y/N. You do so much for the world, I can't stop you." He finishes.
You loved him so much, you just wished you shared your feelings towards him sooner, but then again, it would be harder to let go of him. It was hard to let go of him now.
"Are you sure?" Your voice shakes, just looking at the bed sheets.
"I'm sure. Go, before I change my mind." He jokingly faintly smiles.
You tuck your lips inside, letting a smile cover it. You let out a nervous laugh, letting a single tear fall down, hitting your hand. You wipe it off.
"I'm going to miss you, Carson." You told him. You knew he already knew but it was just something you had to say.
"I know." He pulls you in and just hugs you with all of the power he had left inside of him. You lean your head on his shoulder with your arms around his neck.
"Just call me sometimes, yeah?" He asks, letting go of the hug. You two knew that this is the best for both of you.
"Course."
Carson slides out of bed, revealing himself in just his boxers. While putting back on his pants and his shirt, you just stare at him in awe, watching his every move. He wasn't paying attention to you and just getting everything together.
He went into the bathroom and you decided to get up from your bed and go into your special drawer. You take out a photo of you, your two brothers and Castiel when you all had a case at a photo shoot. You just stare at it and think about your brothers and Cas and how they are feeling now without you.
You really thought you were going to quit hunting and move on, but hey, some things change.
"What are you doing?" Carson asks, grabbing his jacket on the back of the chair. Without answering, he walks up next to you, seeing that you were just looking at a picture. You look up to Carson and back at the picture.
"Just looking back at some good memories." You answer.
"Who's that?" You see from the corner of your eye that his finger was landing on Castiel's face. You gulp, turning towards Carson with him having a confused look on his face.
"That's Castiel." You answer.
"Oh yeah, the angel. You told me about him. You two look pretty close." He laughs jokingly.
"Yeah, we are. He saved me from Hell." You say without any hesitation. Carson looks at you, eyes widened.
"Dang, you really have been through everything, haven't you?" He scoffs, hugging your side.
"Yup." You sigh.
"And I called Bobby, your brothers are on their way." Carson tells you, catching you off guard.
"Wait, what?" You asked, turning towards him, setting down the photo.
"I called Bobby. Sam and Dean slept close to here because they caught a case or something." Carson said.
"Wow, okay. Thanks." You smile.
"You're welcome." He returns the smile to you and walks towards the door. He opens it slowly and you turn around to watching him step out of your apartment for the last time.
"Hey, Y/N?"
"Yeah?"
"Please, be careful. I don't know how you do this work hunting and killing but, just be careful. That's all I ask." He pleads.
"I will." You assure him. He takes one step out of your room and you hear yourself say the words you always wanted to tell him. "I love you."
"I love you, too." His eyes turn red by him holding in the tears. He then walks out, closing the door behind him, probably never going to see his kind face again. As you hear the door close, you let out a big sigh of relief and sorrow. You were going to miss him, but you knew going back to your family was the right thing.
