SPARKS from RED

SR : part 114

"Friend suot mo to" ibinigay sa akin ni Fe ang isang knee length white dress.

"Para saan?" Pagtataka ko.

"Well----sabi lang ni tita. Anniversary pala nitong resort. May party daw and invited lahat mamaya. Around seven daw mag start" sagot nito.

"Bakit kailangan pa nito? " I was referring the white dress.

"It's also their wedding anniversary. And they will reunite their vows today kaya excited na ako. Pag anniversary namin ni Randel, we'll gonna do same thing like this"

"Cheesy" sabi ko.

"Tara na. Suot mo na yan. Six pm na po. I'll put some make up on you"

"Huh? Bakit pa? A-attend lang tayo ng party"

"Yup. Party! Kaya nga dapat mag ayos di ba. Halika na" hinila na ko ito sa may drawer at sinimulang ayusan"

"Eh ikaw. Bakit di ka pag na aayos"

"Mabilis lang ako mag ayos. Kaya ikaw muna"

Gaya nga sabi nito, nauna niya akong inayusan.  Just light make up and she put my hair into bun.

I paired my dress with flats.

Pag labas ko ng kwarto ay walang tao.

We ended mommy Catherine's celebration exactly four pm para makapag pahinga naman lalo na si Hopie.

"San ang mga yon?" I look around and search for them.

Pero wala lahat.

"Friend, sinong hinahanap mo?" Si Fe.

"Where's everyone?"

"Ahhhhhh.  Nandon sa play area. Nilalaro si Hopie. Ayaw magpahinga ng batang yon. Nakapa hyper"

"Kaya pala pag labas ko wala na sa kama"

"Hayaan mo na. Madalang naman to"

"Yeah, your right. Mag seven na. Tara na" anyaya ko dito. 

"Yup let's go. Baka mahuli ka pa" sabi nito.

"Mahuli ako?"

"Ahm wala. Baka Kako mahuli tayo. Tara na"

Napapailing nalang ako kay Fe.

Pero bago pa kami makalayo ay nilagyan niya ako ng blindfold.

"Fe---para San to?"

"Basta. Akong bahala" sagot nito saka ako hinila papunta sa kung saan.

Alam kong malapit na kami dahil I heard Hopie's voice as soft music fills the air.

"Iwan na kita dito. But don't take off your blindfold. Wait for our signal" habilin pa nito.

Narinig ko ang pagtikhim ng isang boses ng lalaki na sa palagay koy may
hawak hawak na mikropono.

"Evening everyone. You can take away your blindfold honey" utos nito so I did.

Napasinghap ako ng makita ko ang nakapaligid sakin. White petals scattered everywhere and red petals forming heart shape where Red was standing. There's also an arc made from fresh flowers.

"I've met this girl, very long time ago. I can still remember how she cling to my father. And I even get jealous. My dad and mom loves her so much until now, or should I say, for the rest of their lives. They even forget me that I'm their son" he laughed. Just kidding. Before, I asked myself why they love her so much. What's with her, is she that special? Those were my questions before. Then we've got married. I've been a monster to her. A kind of monster that don't deserve even a single chance. I've hurt her so badly. Causing her to give up her own life. But this girl, gave me a second chance despite of everything that I've done. And so I told myself that I will never ever ever lose her again. We've got married without love. Yes, she told me that she loves me, and I like her. But I want to make things right. I wanted to marry again with the same girl, the mother of my child, a wife who's always been good to me. A woman who only knows how to love, a love that so pure. Adel, my wife, my everything, will you marry me again?"

Hindi ko alam kung paano papatigilin ang mga luha ko. I was overwhelmed. His heartfelt message makes me cried harder.

I walk slowly towards him.

At nang makalapit na ako sa kaniya, isa lang ginawa ko. Niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit.

"Was that a yes?" Bulong nito.

And I just nodd.

"I love you honey. With all my heart. And this life of mine, was only yours" dagdag nito na lalong nagpaluha sakin.

"Mahal na mahal din kita Red" I buried my face into his chest.

No words can explain what I'm feeling that very moment. I was like in cloud nine.

Masaya ako.

Sobrang saya.

Na kailanman, hindi ko inasahan na mararanasan ko.
