SPARKS from RED

SR : part 35

"Adel" I was calling her for the fifth time but no response so I came up and search for her.

Nahanap ko na siya sa lahat ng sulok ng bahay pero wala siya. I came inside her room to check her things.

It's all there 

Where is she?

Then I heard footsteps downstairs.

"Where have you b----I was cut off when I saw her friend. I guess.

"You're Fe right? " pag confirm ko.

"Oo---at kung hinahanap mo si Adel.  She's in the hospital right now.  She got sprained ankle, nagdulas habang naglilinis ng bahay niyo. You can visit if you care for her----at least as human . If you'll excuse me. Kukuha lang ako ng gamit niya"

"Wait----she's not coming tonight?

"Sadly yes but I'm happy" sagot nito bago ako tuluyang iniwan sa sala.

She came down with bag on her hand.

"I'm coming" sabi ko.

Hindi ito kumibo at tuluyang lumabas ng bahay.

I climb inside my car and followed her.

Pagdating sa hospital ay sinundan ko lang si Fe. Only to find out that she's with someone and seems like she's happy while talking to him.

"Adel---may kasama ako" sabi ni Fe na ikinalingon ni Adel at ng lalaking kausap nito.

The same guy when we're in Paris.

Halata ang gulat sa muka ni Adel ng makita niya ako.

But the guy remained still.

"B-bakit ka nandito?" She's  stuttering.

I didn't answer her question instead I seated on the couch inside that room.

Lumapit si Fe kay Adel at may binulong dito.

Maya maya ay lumabas ito kasunod ang lalaking kausap ni Adel.

Silence

"What happened?" tanong ko

"W-wala. Nagdulas lang" atubiling sagot nito.

"A-are you okay now?" somethings  blocking my throat.

"O-oo" mahinang sagot nito.

"You want anything? Food, water?-----

"Okay na. Bumili na kanina si Randel ng pagkain"

"What was the doctor said?"

"Ahm mag stay daw muna ako kahit one day para makasiguradong ok na ang paa ko"

"After that. Makakalabas ka na?" Tanong kong muli dito Nan hindi makuhang tumingin sa akin.

"Oo" isang mahinang sagot muli.

"P-pwede mo naman akong iwan. Magpahinga ka na. May trabaho ka pa bukas" she said.

"It's ok.  I'll stay here" sabi ko. Hindi na ito sumagot pa.

Ramdam ko ang pagka asiwa nito sa presensya ko.

And it's all my fault.

My damn fault

Later, Fe and the guy, Randel came back where Adel already fall into deep sleep.

"Babantayan mo ba siya?" Malamig na tanong ni Fe.

I can sense she knew something about us.

"Oo" sagot ko.

"Okay----since your here. Kahit papano, alam kong may kasama siya. Just don't hurt her" huling sinabi nito bago mabilis na lumabas ng kwarto.

"I'm going Red. Take care of her" paalala naman ni Randel na hindi ko magawang tugunin.

Don't hurt her

Take care of her

Their words stuck in my head.

I looked at her while peacefully sleeping.

I get near and seated beside the hospital bed.

For the first time, I held her hand and feel it.

I'm sorry Adel...
