Chapter 18 - Film Time

“Ryan!” I shouted as I came through the door. He was stood in the hallway, talking to the guys in the living room. He turned around, looking a bit surprised. He was more surprised when I threw myself at him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he gripped my waist as the force span us around.

“Hey gorgeous.” He chuckled. “Miss me?”

“How could I not?” I smiled and gave him a kiss.

“Amy.” My Dad growled from the living room. Oops. I had kinda forgotten about them.

“Sorry Dad.” He just grunted at me. Jeez, talk about unsociable, I was after all only kissing my boyfriend. “Where did ya go?” I asked Ryan.

“Nowhere in particular.” He answered, giving me a cheeky smile.

“Sure.” I said laughing. “And how was nowhere in particular?”

“Lovely. Let’s watch TV.” Nice move Tedder, evasive and impossible to say no. Because who could say no to Ryan Tedder? That’s how we ended up snuggled up on the sofa, his hand tracing patterns on my leg. I was practically lying on top of him, my head on his shoulder. My Dad had given Ryan evils for the first 10 minutes before my Mum slapped him. Everyone but Andrew was here, sat on a sofa, chair or the floor. Brent had snuck in at some point.

“What about a film?” Mum offered. Everyone seemed happy with the idea, but agreeing on a film was difficult. Each person wanted something different. We ended up watching ‘Epic’ for Izzy, which I will admit I secretly love (I’m a slug). It makes me laugh every time. And, although it wasn’t their first choice everyone enjoyed it. Then, because I insisted and wouldn’t give in we watched ‘Now You See Me’ which is an amazing film. I mean. Oh My God. I just love it. It was a good day really, I laughed every time Ryan did, because when he laughs his body shakes and I would shake and it made me giggle. And he laughed a lot, we got quite a few weird looks.

It was about 8 o’clock when my Mum said “Car’s here Ryan.”

“Brilliant. Amy, there’s a bag on your bed, could you try on the clothes?” He asked sweetly. I nodded and ran up. Gotta say, I was pretty nervous to see what he chose. I heard him go into my sister’s room, probably to get changed too. I pulled the bag open and was relieved to see that inside was a cream dress. I pulled it on, it fell just above my knees, it was nice. And a leather jacket, I couldn’t help but smile. It was a nice one too. And some heeled boots, casual but nice. I gotta say, I’m not used to dressing up like that, but Ryan chose things I like.

I got to the living room and my Mum just stared. “Where’s Amy?” She asked, laughing after a few moments. Ryan came down a couple of minutes later, he was drop dead gorgeous. His trousers were a blacky grey colour and tight, does he own any others? He had a light denim shirt on, very sexy. His hat was in his hand, along with his sunglasses. He stopped when he saw me.

“Wow. I hoped it would fit… But this is something else.” He muttered, more to himself really.

“You are looking pretty fine yourself.” I replied smiling. He put on his hat and glasses before pulling his leather jacket on.

“We should be back by 11 at the latest.” Ryan told my Mum.

“You better be.” My Dad ordered, trying to sound threatening I guess. Ryan wrapped an arm round my waist, Zach insisted on pictures before we left, because he is ‘sentimental’. Which we all know is bullshit, he just wants some good twitter photos. Ryan took me to the ‘car’, it was not a car. It was in fact a limo. Dick. He opened the door for me like a true gentleman. I hate him more every second, he is beyond perfect. Urgh, I love this man too much. We got comfortable and started driving.

“Care to tell me where we are going?”

“Gunna have to wait and see.” He said smirking.

“Idiot.”
