“Promise we’ll always be like this?” We had got to the venue way too early, the others had gone out but I decided to collapse on the couch. Ryan decided to collapse on top of me.

“Like what?” He asked.

“Dysfunctional, teasers who love each other too much. I don’t want this to change, not any of it.” I admitted. It had been on my mind the whole way here, along with the family issue that still bothers me.

“And if I can’t make that promise? How do I know if we’ll change? I don’t want us to change, but we might.”

“If it was up to you?”

“Nothing would change, we would be 97 and you would still be calling me an asshole.” He smiled, kissing my head. We lay there for a while, before something Susan had said came back to me.

“Do you think we are fucking like rabbits?” I blurted. Ryan almost died, he was having a laughing fit.

“Jesus! Why?” He gasped between laughs.

“Susan said it.” I defended.

“Nah. Well… just a bit. But mostly no.” He replied.

“Nice and cryptic for me there.”

“I do aim to please.” He joked. “But, those two are just as bad.” He added.

“Agreed.” I pulled him in for a kiss.

“You should call your mum.” He panted afterwards.

“Wow. Spoilsport.” I grabbed his iPad. “Hey Mum.”

“Hey darling, everything okay?” She asked.

“Yeah, I guess they are.” Ryan was sitting on top of me, holding the iPad for me.

“Where’s Ryan?”

“Ryan will be our camera man for the night.” I laughed.

“Lovely.” She smiled. “Kim called earlier, she told me to get you on the phone. She misses you, and says not to forget her.” My mum informed me.

“I’ll add it to my list of things to do. Will you tell the kids at Tigersharks I miss them?” I asked.

“Of course! They all miss you too, the parents keep asking me where you are and when you are coming back.” She reported.

“And you told them?”
