CH. 37 Yes, I apologized

(King Tut)

I was standing behind her, with my arms wrapped around her.

I wasn't a person who usually apologizes but when it comes to her I found myself not wanting to be angry with each other for a long period of time.

I could never stay angry at her, she was someone that could melt the ice around my heart and tame the emotions running through me. The fact that she had no idea that she had such power over me is something that could even make her chuckle.

Of course, I was going to object to her talking to that woman, I couldn't understand why she even wanted to.

"I just couldn't understand why you want to speak to her, I suppose I am overprotective of you and she is a dangerous woman but I respect you so I'm going to not stop you from talking to her," I said, meaning it. If Mala felt like talking to that woman was going to help her with whatever she was cooking in her mind then so be it.

Was I going to let her talk to that woman alone? No of course not. It's the best thing I could do to make sure that nothing happened to her in my care.

"I know, that's why I didn't take it in a rude way even though it took me off guard that you were telling me that I couldn't. I knew it was because you were scared and worried about my well being." She said, turning around causing my arms around her to drop a little bit but I brought them back up with she stood in front of me staring at me.

"It's cute that you worry." She said causing me to raise my eyebrow.

Cute? What was cute? Whatever it was, it doesn't seem to be an insult.

"I have to worry Mala, you're an extraordinary woman. Who has an intelligent mind and an amazing persona hidden in that mind of yours! So pardon me if I get worried that others will take advantage of that, I just don't want anyone to hurt you and I don't want you to get hurt doing anything dangerous either. Especially with those plans of yours." I said looking at her.

Her eyes widen.

"You're that worried about me?" She asked softly.

"Well, Yes. I just explained it just now didn't I?" I said, watching as she rolled her eyes.

"Look at you getting all soft." She said, causing me to raise a brow.

"Getting soft? What, anyway I just wanted you to just know that I'm not opposed to your ideas or plan. I just think of all the outcomes that come with them happening. Anything can happen, it's best to be prepared with all of the things that can come out in different outcomes then be thrown at them with no way of getting out." I said. She looked at me with a deep look and nodded her head slowly.

"You're right about that, now that you've explained it. I understand more of where you're coming from. I like hearing your thoughts, I want you to feel free to share your thoughts with me anytime you feel the need to. It is important to have that sort of relationship. Especially with each other after all." She said to me.

"I've been opening up to you, I find myself doing that and I am the type of person that it takes a lot for me to open up to people. I've just never bother doing it or have found myself like doing it until you came along. Now here I am, opening up to you and telling you things about me. Telling you things that I dislike and just being honest. You bring that out of me, I might get taken off guard though, so bear with me on that. It's just something new to me and you're someone special to me." I said, being honest with my words because they were the truth.

That's honestly how I felt.

"Tut," Mala said with a look in her eyes.

"Hmm?" I looked at her confused.

"They never said you were this sweet." She said looking at me.

"Wait who's they? Sweet as in what?" I said, causing her to chuckle.

"Nothing, you just surprise every single time you talk that's all. In a good way." She said smiling at me.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Well, be careful with saying that. No one will believe you. You're the only one who is going to see me in a different light and has seen me in different lights, but Mala. You need to know also. That you've become a weakness of mine." I said in a serious tone.

"What do you mean?" She asked I raised a brow. Wondering if she was serious.

"As in, you're a weakness of mine. If anyone were to want to destroy me, bring me down or have me in their control. All they have to do is take you." I said.

Mala stood there silent in front of me.

"I mean it Mala, there are evil people out there and you know it. I am a powerful person, in a powerful position who just happens to finally found someone to care about in such a way and I have feelings for that person. People are starting to notice, people see it and not everyone is good. They're going to use that for their advantage." I said.

"I understand, so what do we do then?" She asked me.

"Well, just don't give me a hard time of being overprotective of you okay. I just want you to understand where I am coming from and maybe just think your plans out. I understand that you're an outspoken woman, who doesn't like being held back but just let me know about the plans and consider my input before you go through with them." I said smiling.

"I'm not asking you to change, never that. I fell for you with how you are right now. I just want you to remember to protect yourself also. That's all." I said.

She continued staring at me as if she was letting my words register.

"Fuck, Tut." She said face-palming herself.

I was confused, raising a brow to why she was behaving in such that way.

"What? What's wrong?" I asked her, she lowered her hand and shook her head.

"Nothing, you're just-" She started to say but stopped. She walked towards me, grabbing my face with both hands and bringing my head down.

Her soft lips pressed against mine.

(*Kassandra Speaks*)
