The wind blew gently through the trees, creating the soft rustling of the leaves. The sun was getting ready to let the moon take its place in the sky. You walked at a slow pace admiring the scenery of the path you always walked to return home from town. In your arms were a few bags of ingredients that your mother had asked you to get earlier that day. You hummed quietly not really caring if anyone was listening. As you neared a turning point on the path you thought you saw someone on the other side of the tree. Curious, you went to investigate.

There, leaning against a tree, was a blue haired boy. He looked rather fancy in his white collared shirt and blue vest. He seemed to be around your age, twelve. The boy was looking at the ground while kicking the tip of one of his brown shoes into the dirt. Upset, perhaps.

"Excuse me, are you alright?" You asked quietly, not wanting to scare him. He stopped digging his shoe into the dirt and turned his head to face you. He seemed a bit surprised but after glancing at you he relaxed a bit.

"Yeah, I'm alright." He said while adverting his gaze.

Noticing this, but not really wanting to push it further you asked, "Are you sure?" Sighing he faced you again while scratching the back of his neck.

"It's just that ... my new brother, who was adopted by my father not too long ago, seems to hate me. I'm not sure what I did to him, but it seems to me as if he's doing everything in his power to make my life miserable. He turns everyone against me and takes away the people I hold dear. He hides behind this facade that is so well put together, even my own father seems to favor him over me!"

Having moved closer to him during the short monologue, you gently pat his back. Unsure how to comfort him in this situation.

"This kid seems like a real jerk. What have you done to try and stop it?"

He adverted his gaze again. "I haven't really done much. I was hoping that whatever anger he held within his heart would die down eventually, but I doubt it will ever happen. However, after he stole the first kiss of the girl I liked, I couldn't stop myself from punching him. My father saw and I received punishment for injuring my so called defenseless brother. And now Erina avoids me like the plague. She was the person I found comfort with while Dio continued his abuse, but now that she is gone I fear that I am alone."

Taking in all the not exactly wanted information you take out one of the apples that your mother probably wouldn't miss. You hold it out to the boy, hoping some food might make him happier.

"I'm not sure if I can do much to help you against this Dio guy, but I guess I can solve your lonely problem. I don't really have anyone to spend my time with either, so if you ever want to do anything or just need someone to listen, I can be the ears you talk to."

You offer him a smile with the apple, he looks at it and then to you. His once sad face now seemed a bit brighter as a small smile formed.

"I'm sorry if I have made you at all uncomfortable. It is not right for me to burden a lady with my thoughts of anger and remorse," he hugged you gently for a moment, squishing the bags you held, before pulling away. He was now smiling brightly as he took the apple from your outstretched hand "But I Jonathan Joestar shall accept your offer of the apple and your friendship."

The sudden hug definitely made you uncomfortable. Making you question if you should have made the offer in the first place. You sighed quietly before you smiled back at Jonathan, "I, (Y/N) (L/N), am glad you accepted the offer."

Jonathan looked at you and then at the surrounding area. "Wait, What is a lady like yourself doing out here all alone?"

"I was just grabbing a few things from town for my mother." You said, while raising the bags slightly higher to emphasize the fact.
