You yawned as you moved the food around in your plate with a fork. Caesar sat next to you, dark bags had begun to form under his eyes. He didn't seem to really be awake yet as he sipped his cup of coffee and read a newspaper. It wasn't long before the others joined you and Caesar with their plates full from the breakfast bar.

Joseph, who had taken the remaining seat next to you, spoke, "So, (Y/N), the boat you called for yesterday will be here soon, right?" You nodded, and he smiled, "Great! We'll all head over once we're done with breakfast."

Jotaro mumbled something under his breath as he bit into a piece of bacon with what seemed to be annoyance. Kakyoin, on the other hand, seemed quite cheerful as he drizzled some cherry syrup over his pancakes.

With a decent breakfast in everyone's stomachs, Joseph checked out of the Hotel. It was a short walk to the dock but as you turned the corner, you were shocked to see Polnareff standing there.

His face lit up when his eyes landed on you. He waved with vigor as he jogged over, "(Y/N)!" He then pulled you into a tight embrace. This earned him quite a few glares from the group of people next to you.

Avdol was the first to speak to the French man, "What's wrong? Is there something else you needed, Polnareff?"

He pulled away from you with a much more serious expression on his face, "I haven't thanked you for freeing me from Dio's spell yet, not properly, at least."

Avdol pointed to the Italian, "For that, you need to thank Caesar."

Caesar waved a hand through the air in dismissal, "It's fine, he doesn't need to thank me."

Avdol chuckled, "It appears there's no one here to accept your kind thanks."

Polnareff sighed, "Alright, I don't like to be pushy, either. But there is something else." He walked towards Joseph, "Monsieur Joestar, I'd like to ask you a very bizarre question." He crosses his arms over his chest.

Joseph his chin on his thumb and pointer finger, "A bizarre question?"

"Forgive my curiosity," Started Polnareff, "but even while eating you didn't take off your gloves. Your left arm wouldn't happen to be a right arm, would it?"

Joseph glanced at his hands, "What? My left arm, a right arm? That is indeed a bizarre question. What do you mean?"

Polnareff's gaze hardened, "I'm looking for the man who killed my younger sister. But he has two right arms."

Joseph removed the glove from his left hand to show his robotic one, "I lost it in a battle fifty years ago."

Polnareff shifted his gaze to the floor, "I apologize for my rudeness. Please forgive me."

You gently touched his arm, moving his attention to you, "If you don't mind me asking, could you tell us what happened?"

He nodded and turned to face the ocean, "It's been three years now... My younger sister was walking home from school with a classmate one rainy day. It was a country road in my native France. On the side of the road, a man stood with his back to them. Mysteriously, even though it was raining, the rain fell around him in a dome-like shape, as if an invisible screen surrounded him. Suddenly, as if cut down by a scythe, her classmate's chest was sliced open. And then... my sister was shamed and killed. That was all that man wanted. Barely escaping death, her friend somehow survived. She said that she didn't see his face, but both of his arms were right arms. No one believed her testimony, but I understood it! Because I believed that man may have a similar power to the one I had been keeping secret."

Joseph nodded, "He's definitely a Stand user."

Polnareff turned around to face the group again, somehow lunging with the rest of his body tilted at a thirty degree angle, "I swore! My sister's soul would not be able to rest unless he atoned with his death! I will use my Stand for retribution!" He stood normally, "Then, a year ago, I met Dio. He showed me a vision in his crystal ball and offered to be my friend. He lamented not being able to go in the sun telling me that that was his pain as much as the vision was my own. A vine of sorts sprung at me, and then I was ordered to kill you. I believed it was the right thing to do."
