Polnareff looked around frantically, "There are so many people. Damn it." You stood at his side, looking carefully at the people's hands.

The others had yet to be informed of the situation, so they were a bit confused. Joseph spoke up first, "What's wrong, Polnareff?

Avdol was next, "What happened?"

"If that... If that was the Stand, that means..." Polnareff clenched his hand into a fist. "That means he's finally here! Jotaro, the Stand user you heard about that uses mirrors is here! The bastard that killed my little sister! The bastard that stepped all over my sister's life, soul, and pride. I can finally... I can finally see him!"

Joseph watched the bustling streets, "The one you seek vengeance upon is here?"

Polnareff turned around to face his companions, "Mr. Joestar, I'll be traveling on my own here. Now that I know the guy who killed my sister is nearby, I'm not going to wait for him to come after me. I'd be at a disadvantage if I let him attack me, and it's not my style. I'll find him first, and kill him." He swung his bag over his shoulder.

Caesar addressed the French man, "Polnareff, I know all too well how you feel. I made a similar decision fifty years ago and it almost cost me my life. So I ask for you to please reconsider. The path you're going to travel down is a dangerous one, and you might not be able to get out. No matter what, you should not travel alone."

Polnareff took a step towards the Italian, poking his chest with his pointer finger, "Listen up. I'm going to make this clear. I never cared about Dio. I told you in Hong Kong that I was only traveling with you so I could get my revenge. I've been alone from the start! I've always been fighting alone!"

Avdol stepped towards Polnareff, "Such a selfish man! Did you forget that you were brainwashed by Dio? Have you forgotten that this all leads back to Dio?"

Polnareff pushed against Avdol, "Like you'd ever understand how I feel after having my sister killed! I heard that the last time you met Dio, you got scared and ran away. A coward like you would never understand how I feel!"

Avdol's gripped the French man's shoulder tightly, "What did you say?"

Polnareff wacked Avdol's arm away, "Don't touch me. You didn't even beat me in Hong Kong. Don't lecture me."

Avdol shook in anger, "Why you..."

Polnareff's eyes remained narrowed, "Oh, did that piss you off? But don't forget, I'm a lot more pissed off than you are right now! You can just keep acting like the mature one as always, Avdol."

Avdol was about take a swing at the French man but his arm was grabbed by Joseph. "That's enough. Let him go. Now that he's like this, no one can stop him."

Avdol's face relaxed as Joseph let go of his arm. His gaze looked downward, "No, I'm just disappointed in him. I didn't think he was that sort of man." Polnareff spat at the ground,  "I did indeed run in fear. That's also why I believe we'll win," He state's into the French man's eyes, "and can say with certainty that you'll lose."

"Huh?" Exclaimed Polnareff, moving towards the Egyptian once more, "Then I'll say this with certainty, too. Your divination will be wrong." He flicked the tassel hanging from Avdol's necklace-like-earrings. He then turned around and began walking away.

You gently touched his arm before he could get too far from all of you. He glanced down at you, his angry gaze faltering slightly. You put a hand over your heart, "Jean, I know I won't be able to stop you... but let me go with you."

A few of your companions gasped. Polnareff's face shifted to a surprised look before hardening again, "No, I must do this alone."

You let out a sigh and scratched the back of your neck, "Yeah... I thought you might say something like that. But please, stay safe, be watchful, and always doubt your surroundings. And whatever you do, don't die." He gave a reassuring nod and walked away into the crowd of people that had formed from all the shouting.
