Your eyes widened a bit, but Stroheim was freaking out even more, "What the...?! He speaks! H-He said your name! How could he hear me from inside that chamber?!"

You had a sudden feeling as if you had just missed Joseph doing something crazy, you'd have to confirm the truth of this later.

Stroheim moved back to the chair behind his desk and sat down. You moved Speedwagon so he was to the left of the blonde man. You leaned over the wheel chair and interlocked your hands with the old man as best as you could with a straight jacket in the way. Stroheim wasn't particularly fond of the moment you were sharing and motioned for you to stand to the right of him. Hesitantly, you obliged.

Several moments passed before someone spoke again. "W-What's going on?"

"I-I can't tell."

"Weren't you watching?"

One of the men wearing a white coat walked up to Stroheim, "Major von Stroheim, I took my eyes off him for only a second. You were right next to me. So was everyone else! But nobody saw anything." The man reached for the mug of coffee in front of Stroheim, bringing it with shaking hands to his mouth.

The Major shoved the man's arm away, causing the mug to fall, "Does this seem like an appropriate time for a coffee break?!" You moved swiftly, catching the mug before a single drop could spill. You let out a sigh of relief, surprised you had managed to successfully catch it. Stroheim looked at your now crouched form with a twinge of regret, slightly embarrassed you had seen his outburst.

You decided to move the cup away from the angry man, not wanting him to break it later. While looking around for somewhere to put it, you noticed a new person enter the area. Their face seemed familiar and when his eyes met yours, you both almost pointed at each other in surprise.

The white coated man continued speaking, "I-It was only a moment. I took my eyes off him for only a few seconds! I have twenty-twenty vision! I have no idea what happened in there. I can't believe it! But the chamber is sealed! He just disappeared!"

"The walls show no damage!

Joseph's eyes were clearly asking how the hell you got there. You sort of shrugged and he moved towards you, taking the cup from your hands and setting it on top of some rather expensive looking equipment. You thought it wasn't the safest place to put it, but you decided you really didn't care. Joseph inched closer to you, looking around to make sure no one thought he was being suspicious. Everyone was focused on the empty chamber, so they didn't notice him. You, however, noticed what appeared to be the remnants of lipstick on Joseph's lips.

Stroheim moved away from his desk, "Listen up! Just calm down and find him! He must be hiding where we least expect it! Cut off all oxygen! We'll wait for him to come out! (Y/N), did you see anything?"

You were a bit startled by Stroheim saying your name and you quickly looked away from Joesph to face him. "Well no, but he must have gone into the vents or something. It's the only real opening out of the chamber."

"But the opening for the vents is barely an inch wide, there's no way his body could fit through!"

You shrugged, "He's not human though, he may have abilities that render the size of an opening unimportant or perhaps he could use his skin to melt through walls or something. I really don't know."

"The film is now developed." Spoke one of the other soldiers in the room.

"Then play it!"

"Yes, sir!"

Two men carried the projector onto a flat surface, readying the film for viewing. Stroheim instructed them to start and the recording was being played on the glass separating the chamber and your room. It began counting up to three before the footage showed.
