Night Has Come

Nukesaku's mouth had been split open along the corners. He reached a hand out of the coffin and seemed genuinely frightened. Joseph blinked rapidly in his disbelief, "I never even took my eyes off him! Did any of you see the moment Nukesaku entered... No, was put into the coffin?"

Kakyoin shook his head, "N-No, but when I realized it, he was already inside!"

You cursed under your breath, "Shit. Dio's already using his time stop again. Shouldn't there be some kind of limit or cool down time?" Iggy moved behind your legs, his vicious persona he often displayed no longer seemed apparent.

Caesar grit his teeth, "He didn't even use his frozen time to kill us. He's just messing with us!"

Jotaro took a step back, "This is dangerous... Dio truly is dangerous."

"Run!" Shouted Joseph who immediately leaped out the window broken by Star Platinum mere moments ago. The rest of you were quick to follow after him, except the French man who was never too keen on running away from a fight. "What are you doing, Polnareff?" Joseph wrapped hermit purple around the said man's neck, pulling him out of the mansion.

However, this gave Dio a grand idea and he used Jonathan's Stand to wrap around your throat and pretty much strangle you as all your momentum was lost by suddenly being jerked back. You were about to have you body slammed against the side of the building when Kars took form between you and the establishment. He used his powerful legs to push off while severing the Hermit Purple imitator with an arm blade.

You noticed the others had managed to grab some short cylinders sticking out of the mansion's wall. Kars repositioned you so you could hang on to him yourself as his arms shifted into the bird wings he seemed to like. With one flap, you were no longer falling and you were able to land on the portico just as the rest of your companions got themselves situated there. Iggy gave a relieved bark as he waddled over to you. The ultimate being spared the dog a scratch behind the ear before disappearing from sight.

"This is bad... This is extremely bad." Joseph's whole body had broken out in a cold sweat. "The sun's almost out of sight!

Despite this fact, Kakyoin still wore his sunglasses, "His time has come."

Polnareff caught his breath, "Don't tell me that we're gonna be helpless until sunrise tomorrow. I'm telling you now, Mr. Joestar! I'm not running away now!"

Kakyoin chimed back in, "I agree with Polnareff." Caesar gave a concurring hum.

"I'm in the same boat." Stated Joseph. "But the situation has changed. We've encountered his Stand, The World, and we've learned its ability. But we still have no idea of its limitations. When climbing a mountain, if you don't know how long the route is and it ends up greater than you thought, you're guaranteed to tire yourself out. Guaranteed! It's as inevitable as belching after drinking a cola."

"Dio will come after us." You joined the conversation as well, "That's another one of our certainties. He's waited so long for his chance that's he'll probably try to finish it all by sunrise. It's in that time that we have to discover some way to beat his ridiculous power. We have to maintain our distance until we find out what it's weakness it. If it even has one."

"No! I can't run away!" Shouted Polnareff. "Avdol died for me! I'll do underhanded things, and even go to hell itself, but I will not run away." Without another word, he dashed off.

"Wait, Polnareff!" Joseph reached out towards the French man.

Caesar put a hand on his best friend's shoulder, "As much as I wish we could, we won't be able to stop him."

The Kujo grunted in agreement. Kakyoin quickly turned his attention to his fellow high schooler, "Jotaro, tell us what you think we should do."

"Polnareff is fighting him as he pursues him. We'll fight him as we retreat." Jotaro moved his hands as he explained his plan. "That means we'll be in position for a pincer attack."
