Or, at least that's what you thought.

Surely Caesar would've died if he hadn't remembered the small vial in his pocket. He had initially accepted his death, but if there was a chance that he could, he wanted to live. So he flicked the cap off.

Joseph and Lisa moved aside the scattered pieces of everything out of the way as they entered the run down building. The first thing they noticed was you sitting amidst broken pieces of the ceiling, clutching tightly to Caesar's lifeless form. Tears fell freely down your face as well as blood from your rather nasty head wound that was slowly closing up.

Joseph's eyes began to water as he stared at the scene. "Don't...Don't tell me he's..."

"Dead? No, he's not." You gently moved Caesar's blood stained hair that covered his forehead. "He's barely alive, though. He lost so much blood." You waved your hand to showcase the results of the battle. "Right now...Right now I have my own blood circulating through him. I've covered the wounds that I could, but his legs th-they're gone."

When you had reformed above Caesar, the cross shaped piece of ceiling collided with your head. The moment it created a wound, your blood hardened and it broke into a few pieces. One of the pieces just so happened to land on Caesar's legs, crushing them. Besides that, he was relatively okay.

Lisa couldn't look at the sight for long and decided to switch her gaze to the rest of the room. The blood bubble caught her eye. "What is this?"

"He put the last of his Hamon in it for JoJo as well as Wamuu's lip ring." Lisa let out a gasp and covered her mouth with her hand before looking away.

Joseph's eyes widened, "You mean...he got the antidote for me?" You nodded solemnly and he clenched his teeth."That bastard. Helping me even if it meant he could die." He walked towards the bubble, almost touching it before shaking his head. "I can't take this, not when he's still alive."

You held Caesar closer, trying to warm his cold skin. "Well, he can't take it back, not while my blood flows through him."

Joseph glanced back at his injured friend, "I see..."

Lisa noticed the blood leading up the staircase, "Caesar must have injured Wamuu greatly. This was not a one sided battle."

You recalled how worn out the Pillar Man appeared when you entered after the glow of Hamon. "Yes, I suspect Caesar was very close to victory and since he became unable to take Wamuu's life, he took the ring instead."

Lisa turned away as she lit a cigarette, "Then there is no time to lose. We shall attack while they are weakened."

You quickly turned your head to stare at the woman in shock, "But Caesar-"

"Leave him here. Even if you leave, he'll still remain alive, right?"

"Well, yes, but if anyone tries to summon me, my blood that is within his body will transfer too since it hasn't been separated from me long enough. Then he would die."

Lisa blew out a puff of smoke, "Then we'll just have to avoid doing that, won't we?"

A few stray tears fell from your checks as you looked at the sorry state your dear companion was in. But Lisa was right, the time to strike was now. So you placed a gentle kiss on Caesar's forehead as you whispered words he'd never hear.

You stood up and placed his head gently onto the floor. With the light shining on him from the hole in the wall, he looked at peace. Hopefully, he'd be okay.

You went outside to bring Messina inside the hotel and rest his body near Caesar's. When you reentered the building, the bubble was gone and Joseph was placing the ring on his finger.
