Despite your offer to use a private plane from the Speedwagon Foundation, Joseph insisted on taking your normal, everyday plane. It was pretty crowded and the six of you were lucky to get seats next to each other. Although, you were a bit worried to be on the same plane as someone who had crashed twice.
Joseph was sitting next to Caesar, Avdol sat next to Jotaro, and you were with Kakyoin. The lights were off so the passengers could sleep, but there was still a greenish glow coming from the screen of your gameboy.
Kakyoin watched the screen intently as your fingers danced along the few buttons on the device. He spoke in a whisper so he wouldn't wake the nearby people, "Wow, you're really good at that game. After you beat that level can I have a go?"
You moved your gaze off the screen to look at Kakyoin, you continued pushing buttons as you spoke, "Yeah, sure. I've already beaten this game a few times anyways."
Jotaro turned around in his seat extending his hand towards you, "Give it to me."
You pushed yourself closer to Kakyoin to avoid Jotaro's grasp. "No. Kakyoin is playing next, wait your turn."
Jotaro clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth as he turned back around and folded his arms. He mumbled under his breath, "You shouldn't even be playing on that stupid thing anyways." Ignoring the grumpy Jotaro, you handed the device over to Kakyoin who was able to play pretty well from having just watched you play it yourself.
You looked away from the screen and realized you were hearing a faint buzzing sound. You rose your head above the sea of people and looked around for the source. Leaning over the seat you tapped Jotaro's shoulder, "Do you hear that?"
He rose an eyebrow and listened, "Yeah..." He started to glance around as well. Avdol opened his eyes and Joseph narrowed his own. Kakyoin turned the gameboy off to rejoin reality.
Caesar was even more confused than the rest of you, "I... I don't hear anything."
Everyone's looked at the Italian with wide eyes. You spoke first as the realization dawned on everyone, "Then the thing making that noise must be..."
"A Stand..." Finished Caesar.
Jotaro stood up after having spotted the Stand, "A rhinoceros beetle. No... A stag beetle!"
Joseph stood up and turned to Avdol, "Can it really be a Stand? This early?"
Avdol nodded, "It would seem to be a bug shaped Stand."
You watched as the Stand flew behind some seats, "If they really are working for Dio, that means they must somehow be watching us. Do you think one of his minions has a Stand that can observe like that?"
Joseph glanced nervously around the plane, "Well, I wouldn't doubt he has some sort of Stand like that at his disposal. But where did the bug go?"
There was a screeching sound and Kakyoin stretched his arm out towards Jotaro, "JoJo! It's on the side of your head!" Everyone quickly turned to stare at the Stand, except Caesar, of course, who was only looking in its general direction. The bug seemed to have some sort of light colored liquid surrounding its sharp teethed mouth.
"It's disgusting..." Commented Jotaro as a second mouth shot out of the first. "But leave it to me."
"B-Be careful. I've heard there is a user of a bug Stand that likes to rip out the tongues of its victims." Mentioned Avdol.
"Star Platinum!" Shouted Jotaro as he called out his Stand. The stand swung its hand down on the bug but it swiftly dodged the attack.
Avdol was in shock, "I-I can't believe it! It's faster than Star Platinum, whose speed and precision are such that it can grasp bullets."
