Lisa's heels clacked along the stone floor as you talked to Joseph, "So, JoJo, when are you going to take the antidote Caesar got you?"
He reached into his jacket, taking out the golden ring, "Oh, this old thing?" You nodded, "I decided to take it after I defeat Wamuu. This thing no longer represents a promise between Wamuu and me. It's now between me and Caesar- A promise that I'll fight and live another day."
Your hands went to your cheeks as you smiled at him, "Awe, that's so sweet."
"Which is why..." He got down on one knee holding the ring out to you, "I'd like for you to have the honor of holding onto my ring." He then slid the metal band around the ring finger on your left hand. He gave you a wink as he gently kissed the back of your hand.
You fidgeted with the Pillar Man's lip ring, "Oh, gee, thanks. Now this can serve as a constant reminder of when you tried to sell me off to Wamuu."
Joseph tilted his head to the side, confused, "Sell you off? What are you talking about?"
"When you were trying to convince Wamuu to spare you, you were all like," You did your best impression of Joseph's voice, "Don't worry about me (Y/N)! I'm sure you'll make the perfect bride for him!"
Joseph looked off into the distance, "Huh, did I really say that?"
You gently slapped his shoulder, "Yes, you did! I half expected Wamuu to just kill you and whisk me away. Thanks goodness he wasn't that kind of Pillar Man."
The Joestar chuckled, "Ah, well, everything turned out okay so it's fine."
He put an arm around your shoulder to pull you closer while all of you continued following after Wamuu's blood trail. The farther you went, the thinner the trail became. The reason for this was obvious, Wamuu's wounds were healing.
Before long, you arrived at a rather tall door. You placed a hand on it before glancing at your companions. They nodded at you, encouraging you to open it. So with a quick shove, the door swung forward.
Sitting on a small platform in the center of the room, was Wamuu. He looked up, "I've been waiting for you." He was staring at Joseph, "You've grown stronger, indeed."
The male Joestar narrowed his gaze on the Pillar Man, "You bastard! You almost killed Caesar!"
Wamuu looked at him curiously. He was certain that the blonde Hamon user was about to die when he left him there. Then he remembered that you had been there right before he exited the room. He looked you up and down, you looked a bit paler than usual. Perhaps your ability had allowed you to save him. He glanced down to your hand, noticing his lip ring around your finger. He wondered why the antidote hadn't been taken by the one called JoJo yet.
Joseph was angry and began to move forward to attack Wamuu, but Lisa moved an arm in front of him to block his way.
"Calm down, JoJo. Look below Wamuu, at the floor..."
"Don't worry, I'm keeping my cool. I noticed, too. Those footprints... there are two sets."
You glanced at the floor. You actually hadn't noticed the footprints. You were busy feeling uncomfortable from Wamuu staring at you. But the extra set meant that Kars probably wasn't too far away.
"That means Kars is here!" Shouted Joseph, "Where are you hiding?! Show yourself!"
You patted Joseph on the back, "Um, maybe chillax a bit. I thought you said you were keeping your cool?"He looked away from you with a huff.
Lisa surveyed the room, "There are only two steps of footprints, yet I hear the hushed breaths of dozens."
You closer your eyes for a bit to focus on the sound around you. Hearing breathing from above, you took a look at the ceiling. You were able to see in the dark better than the average person. The sight of roughly one hundred vampires wasn't all that comforting. You sighed and whispered under your breath, "Dammit. Why do I have to be right about things like this."
