~ Mathilda POV ~
Year three was overall really uneventful. Emma had tried to hide her crush for Ian as much as possible since he showed zero signs that he like her back even though we tried really hard to convince her otherwise. I believed he was just really oblivious.
The Marauders kept on pranking Severus — the pranks became worse and so did his responses. He called them disgusting and utterly cruel names and James and Sirius mostly ended up in detention. Funnily, puberty hit them quite hard by giving both of them terrible voice cracks and suddenly we, who had been pranked for months and maybe years, could also laugh about them.
Surprisingly, I found out that I got along quite well with Regulus who I had to do some group and partner exercises with. We were not friends and I believed we would never be, but at least he was -other than Betram or Alecto- nice to me and did not one single time call me a bloodtraitor or similar.
Poor Jesper again did not make it onto the Quidditch team, which I knew made him extremely sad, but he would never admit that. Still I tried to cheer him up and tell him that he would definitely make it onto the team the following year.
Care of Magical Creatures quickly became my absolute favourite subject and I toyed with the idea of becoming a Magizoologist after Hogwarts, but it was still way too soon to make decisions like that.
After passing the end of term exams and scraping through the exam in Transfirguration I was absolutely ready for summer holidays. Most of them I spent collecting plants and herbs for my grandpa and even doing some shopping with him in Knockturn Alley. I hated that place, but mum said I should join him to keep an eye on what he buys. Neither her nor my aunt wanted to join him since they were to afraid that someone would recognise them there and since hardly anyone knew me anyways, making me join was a good idea. It wasn't to bad after all, but I was really happy and relieved when we came back home. I exchanged a lot of letters with my friends and also met up with them occasionally. At the end of August I was really looking forward to go back to school.

Alright, not a lot of Sirius content again but there will be more in the following chapters. Although, the focus in the next one will be on Regulus.
