Chapter 54: Natsu's Curse

Both Natsu and Todo stared each other down for a few seconds before engaging in battle. Todo went all out he would mix in his curse power in with regular attacks and every now and then use his technique. Up in the tower Hades and Artemis watched as these two powerhouses would throw punches at each other that caused shockwaves to be felt. Artemis was unedge to see them using there powers. She immediately stood up and summoned her bow to fire at Natsu. But she is stopped by Hades who uses his finger to force Artemis to lower her weapon.

Hades: Relax Artemis would you.

Artemis: Relax?! They're using there powers to fight! That goes against the rules.

Hades: Actually they're not.

Artemis: What?!

Hades shakes his head in displeasure.

Hades: Your ignorance towards the outside world is still amazing to see after all these years. Those two aren't using there magic power. As a matter of fact one of them can't even use magic.

Artemis: What do you mean?

Hades: Oh my dear you have lots to learn. You see what they're using isn't magic but curses.

Artemis: Curses?

Hades: Yes. Although there's only been ten individuals who have wielded the power of curses. I'm amazed my self to see a human be able to use it.

Artemis: I'm lost Hades. Stop making things more difficult!

Hades: My dear Artemis. Let me ask you something. Why do you think Zeus wanted Natsu locked away in here? Wait. Let me rephrase that. Besides the reason for Zeus wanting Natsu in here, why else do you think he's in here for?

Artemis: Because...

Hades: You should know why. Natsu almost killed you.

Her eyes widen as she remembers her battle with him.

Hades: You see Natsu has the power to kill a god. He's proven it when he killed the great man upstairs himself, while at the same time killing Satan.

Artemis looks at Natsu then back at Hades.

Artemis: How? How is it possible for a human to be able to kill a god?!

Hades: It's unnatural to see that happen. But this kid isn't all human. This goes back to the curse power I mentioned earlier. You see Natsu's parents were dragons.

Artemis: dragons..? That's...that's impossible that species went extinct a millennia ago!

Hades: Right, who told you that? Zeus?

She nods her head. Hades passes his hand by his face in annoyance.

Hades: Ugh..Anyways when Natsu was still a child, his parents decided to move to this small country we call Japan. A peaceful place to raise there children. But unfortunately war followed them where ever they went. His parents were brutally murdered by angels and devils. In a fit of rage Natsu went berserk and killed every angel and devil on that night. Unknowingly to him something sinister had taken control over him. Being child of two powerful dragons Natsu was a prodigy. A child so powerful that his parents had to seal half his power away because if they let it go rampant it would had killed him. But when he witnessed his parents die in front of him that seal broke. Out came Etherious Natsu Dragneel. E.N.D.

Artemis: E.N.D?

The two of them stopped talking as they felt a soft tremor. When they looked down they saw Todo had crashed against the wall.

Hades: Yes Artemis, E.N.D. A demon so powerful gods fear him. Unfortunately for Natsu this power also came with a curse. The curse of always having people wanting him dead. Even though he defiled fate and challenged destiny some way some how, his curse always came to haunt him. Eventually he found others like him. Other demons who wielded curse power and together they took on Heaven and Hell. A group of ten against an entire domain.
