Chapter 87: Opertaion Honeymoon

Back in Kyoto. It's been a few days since Natsu has been gone. The fairy tail guild have all been doing great by helping out the city in anything they need. New members have joined the guild, and the pub has been busier then usual. In these few days Ignia has been staying near by. He's begun to see why Natsu defends this place so much, and why he'll give his life to protect those dear to him. But he still doesn't understand why would his younger brother do all of that. He still doesn't get what's so precious about protecting human lives, and not conquer them. On this specific day Ignia walked in the guild around ten in the morning. He's been coming to the guild ever since he first arrived in Kyoto. He's not so much intrigued by the people but by a young woman. He arrives and sits at the bar. Lisanna who works there, approaches him.

Lisanna: Good morning. What can I get for you today?

She asks Ignia. Ignia looks up at the menu and before he could even say anything Lisanna guesses his meal.

Ignia: I'll have..

Lisanna: Let me guess the usual? Scrambled eggs, with toast, a bowl of misou soup and some water to drink?

Ignia looks at Lisanna surprised that she guessed his meal correctly. She just smiles at him.

Lisanna: It's not hard to guess customers orders. Especially if they come here frequently.

She finishes writing the order and goes off into the kitchen to prepare the meal. Few seconds later Lisanna comes out with the bowl of soup and the water first. Ignia begins to drink his soup first. As he's drinking his soup he turns around and looks at everyone in the guild.

Ignia: Just like the past few days. Everyone here is cheerful.

He then looks towards the doorway of the guild.

Ignia: I don't sense Natsu, or Wendy. I do...but it's like they're far from here.

He hears the sound of his plate being placed on the table which makes him turn around. He thanks Lisanna and begins to eat. She gets curious and begins to ask him some questions.

Lisanna: You know, I don't usually ask this because it's mostly my sister who is the chatter box. But what's your name?

She asks curiously. Ignia ignores her and continues to eat. Lisanna felt a bit bad being ignored but that didn't stop her from getting to know the stranger.

Lisanna: Well as you know my name is Lisanna. You've been coming here quite frequently are you new to the city?

Again she gets ignored as Ignia finishes his meal and drinks his cup of water.

Ignia: Thanks for the meal.

He says seriously.

Lisanna: Uhh...sure don't mention it. Umm...are you going to stay for lunch today again?

Ignia just turns around and faces the guild again. Lisanna gives up as she tried to talk to Ignia but kept getting ignored.

Lisanna: Well if you need me just call me.

As she's about to leave Ignia finally speaks.

Ignia: Wait. Maybe you can help me understand some things better.

Lisanna: Sure I'll gladly help any way I can.

Ignia: I'm trying to figure out why Nat-..I mean why my sibling holds all of this dear to him?

Lisanna is a bit confused as to what he is referring to.

Ignia: He has great power. Not stronger then me, but even when I threaten to hurt those close to him he didn't care. Instead he just sacrificed himself in order to protect his friends. It just doesn't make sense.
