Chapter 24: Dragon King Festival

With Natsu in his dragon king form, the bandages on his right arm began to burn away revealing the mark that let any and all dragons know he was of royal blood. In a snap of a finger all the faces that where hesitant to acknowledge Natsu as his parents legacy changed on a flip of a dime. The older generation of dragons, and current quickly bowed down to there king. The smaller generation in which Atlas spoke off where confused. Nanami and the others didn't bow either. Natsu didn't really pay much attention as his attention was directed to the few hundred of dragons bowing there heads to him. He looks behind to his uncle, as he motions him to say a few quick words. Natsu takes a deep breath and powers down, he looks over the people of Sun Village.

Natsu: Sun Village. Raise your heads, please.

A few of the villagers raised there heads but others felt unworthy enough to raise there heads after disgracing themselves in front of there king.

Natsu: I honestly don't know what to say to you all. Ever since I was small and had to stand up for myself when my parents passed my goal was to find others like me, dragons that survived the war. I so happen to run into a dragon turned devil even though he was reincarnated as a devil he showed his loyalty to me, and so did two other dragons who where sealed inside objects to give others the power of dragons. Those two also showed loyalty but they showed me that dragons, devils and other beings can coexist with each other. Then I ran into two other dragons who are strong on there own, even though there goals are different they have dragons blood coursing through them. Then I happen to meet my queen and one of the most powerful person I know, she's even stronger then myself.

Natsu looks to his right making eye contact with Irene, he smiles at her as she smiles back.

Natsu: She taught me that I don't have to do everything alone. That when it comes down to it she will stand by my side no matter the decision I make. But most importantly she joined my clan, and said that she would help me find others just like us. Dragons who might be hiding due to everything that is going on around us. Thanks to her help along with others I hold dear to me they helped me find all of you.

The dragons in the village couldn't help but feel a bit emotional listening to Natsu's words. To some his words reminded them of the former king and queen, while to others his words where bringing them hope.

Natsu: Seeing all of you here, and watching with my own eyes how all of you managed to survive really opened my eyes. Knowing that all of you are still here standing in front of me makes me feel that I accomplished my goal. Even though your village chief Atlas Flame was the one to jump start this village I still feel like we all did this together, and that everything I was fighting for was worth it. I know to some I might not seem like a king..

He looks towards Nanami and her group.

Natsu: But I promise to all of you that I'll try my very best to protect you all. All that I ask of you is this...

He bows his head to the other dragons, surprising them.

Natsu: keep on living your lives. Keep growing as individuals, accomplish your goals, become strong, love your family and friends, and most important always remember that you're not alone.

Natsu raises his head and sees the shocked faces of the towns people. Slowly they all began to clap for him, the claps became contagious and cheers erupted from the villagers. Atlas walked behind Natsu and placed his arm around him.

Atlas: Good job your highness.

Nanami: Kyouko..

Kyouko who was clapping along with the crowd, slowly stopped and looked at Nanami.
