Chapter 187: Winter General vs E.N.D

It all happened so quick. I couldn't react. I couldn't move out the way. I couldn't move Lucy out the way quick enough. All the training I did with Yoruichi to master the Flash Step was for nothing. If I would've known I could have saved her...
But one thing was for sure, something deep in my heart finally broke. This war finally caught up to me. Seeing the destruction in the place I called home, drove me to the edge. Seeing everyone I know injured, or fighting for their lives triggered it. Seeing Lucy's blood on my hands drove me to insanity. All I felt at that very moment is hatred, anger, and a lust for blood.

Few Moments Before.

???: Invel. What brings you here?

Invel: Just checking up on everyone, see how everyone is doing.

???: Did Zeref send you?

Invel: No he did not. I came on my own fruition. We've lost contact with Wahl my guess is he's dead.

???: Killed by the enemy. Who would've thought that would ever happened.

Invel: Shalltear said she was also beaten in battle, but spared by her enemy.

???: Natsu must have powerful allies if two of the spriggan 12 were defeated.

Invel: Larcade also lost in battle, although I'm not so sure if he is alive or dead. He's gone silent.

???: He activated his Pleasure spell, which lasted quite a while. It would explain why it suddenly stopped working. What about the others? Esdeath, Ajeel, Jacob and the others?

Invel: Ajeel and Jacob are traveling together. Dabi is off somewhere, I asked him to report numerous times but he ignores me. Albedo and Nienhart report every hour as does Shinra. Esdeath hasn't reported since she took over a city on the west side of the island.

???: Does that mean she's gotten into a fight?

Invel: No her magic seems to be normal. Besides like me, we would know if she has gotten into a fight.

???: Right, the temperature in the island would change.

Suddenly a very loud explosion and a bright light can be seen. This catches the attention of both of these individuals. They go towards the end of the cliff side they are in and see the big bright white light that has engulfed an entire section of the island. They are far from it but this orb is so bright they can see it from we're they are. Minutes later the light immediately dies down. This is when the mysterious individual Invel is talking to noticed what has happened. He shoots a magic attack aiming for Lucy. Which ended up hitting her.
Invel looked surprised by this sudden move,turning  around looking behind him.

Invel: Why would you do that?! Shooting your magic at random. You could've hit one of our own.

???: Except it wasn't one of our own.

Invel: what?

???: Use your brain Invel. That bright light wasn't any of our comrades. It was Natsu and his guardian.

Invel's eyes widen.

???: They broke Master Zeref's curse. I don't know how, but they did. Meaning one of his old friends recovered there memory. We can't have that now can we?

Invel: That is still..

???: Cold hearted? Is that what you were going to say? This is war Invel, everything is fair and no one is safe. You step foot into the battlefield you must be prepared to face the consequences of your actions.

A sudden powerful surge of power is felt. An eerie darkness completely engulfs the entire Southern island. Both Invel and the mysterious individual feel the difference in magical pressure.
