Chapter 20: Divine Decree

On the train ride to Mutsuz Natsu who was sitting next to the window looked out the window seeing nothing but farm land and the casual small towns in between. His ear twitched hearing his sister laughing, Mira talking and Irene who was also speaking. He didn't get much rest the previous day as he was overthinking things. He wondered if the dream he had about that village, and if what Azazel had told him before about this town being so well hidden for many many years and only just now being discovered. He began to think if there was any connections, why would these villagers go out there way to eliminate anyone who got close, and why keep themselves hidden.
He looked down towards his right arm passing his hand through the bandaged up arm, he then slightly looks towards his sisters right arm who also had a bandaged up arm hiding her own mark. The two of them have been going through some changes, there scales appeared and haven't gone away, every now and then they will become aggressive for no apparent reason, sometimes even becoming aggressive towards one another. He thought back to the training they had, and how most of there confrontations would occur during training. It would take Irene or sometimes everyone to stop the two of them from fighting. Then things would go back to normal as if nothing happened between them. Natsu had told Irene that, it isn't normal for them to fight so often like they have. She would just tell him that Wendy is just growing older and is going through a rebellious stage, or that maybe it had do with the previous war and how much Wendy's power spiked when Natsu came back. He leans his head on the window looking outside. He mind is racing at the speed of light thinking of possibilities as to why they are going through this. He then proceeds to close his eyes not wanting to think about it anymore. Next thing he knew he was asleep. He opens his eyes and sees himself in a dark area. He tries to walk but falls to the ground. When he turns to look at himself he sees that his entire body is gone, he tries to lift his hand up but only sees his fingers. Half of his body has become shadows. He then hears what sounds like footsteps coming towards him, when he goes to lift his head up he sees an individual wearing a cloak hiding its face, it's eyes, it's body. The person walked up to Natsu and kneeled next to him. The individual placed its hand gently on his chin and lifted his head up. Natsu couldn't see its face nor eyes, all he could see was the persons mouth.

???: You will die for your parents sins.

Hearing this Natsu's eyes widen in fear as he sees an enormous wave of red liquid appear from behind this individual. Before it hits him Natsu is awaken by Irene who was gently moving him to get him to wake up. He wakes up spooked, looking around wondering where he is.

Irene: hey, hey, hey, look at me. It's okay, I'm here

Irene who had cuffed his face, because he was looking around frantically freaking out, had spoken to him getting him to look at her in the eyes. Once he did he calmed down and relaxed.

Natsu: where are we?

Irene: Mutsuz

Natsu: how long was I out for?

Irene: a full day

Natsu: what?

Irene: Yeah we tried to wake you up but you wouldn't wake up so we let you sleep.

Natsu: where's Wendy and Mira?

Irene: They're outside waiting for us.

She extends her hand offering him help to get up. He takes her hand and is helped up to his feet. She decided not to let go and grab a hold of his hand. He sees this as he looks at there hands together. She looks at him and smiles. He smiles back and the two of them make there way out of the train. He sees Wendy and Mira waiting for them. They give Karameel a call as she uses her magic to send the exact location of the area they need to be going. Once all four have received the location they called for cab who only took them about half way. The rest of the way they had to walk due to there being no roads for vehicles to pass through. As they walked past the forest all four of them began to pick up on the scent of rain.
