Chapter 145: The White Rose

When arriving in Saeko's house. Natsu took a seat in the dinner table waiting for Saeko to finish with cooking dinner. He is left with many questions about Saeko. The main one being how does she know about him. Sure his face is plastered all over Tokyo of posters but there's more to it, he feels like. When Saeko finished cooking she handed Natsu a plate and a cup of juice. She also served herself, she took her apron off and took a seat across from him. The two of them put there hands together and gave thanks.

Natsu and Saeko: Thank you for the food.

They began to eat as Natsu is surprised her cooking tastes amazing. Saeko sees this and can't help but giggle.

Saeko: Easy, no one is going to take your food away.

Natsu stops and looks at her. He wipes his mouth with a tissue and sees her eating.

Natsu: Umm Saeko?

Saeko: Hmm?

Natsu: I gotta ask. How did you know who I was? Besides the posters being all over the town. You almost seemed like you knew since before.

Saeko drinks a bit of her drink and wipes her mouth with a tissue as well. She than looks in Natsu direction.

Saeko: Well you're quite famous.

Natsu sighs.

Natsu: Even when I try to keep a low profile..

Saeko: No..I don't mean that. I mean you're famous. You're well known since before Japan split in two.

Natsu: What do you mean?

Saeko: I'm from a small town near the east coast of Japan. Just a couple of miles from where you attended high school.

Natsu: Kouh?

Saeko: Yes. I mean you did go to what use to be an all girls school, before it became a coed school. All of the girls near Kouh applied for the school but only a select few got accepted. I actually applied on more than one occasion.

Natsu: Did you get accepted?

Saeko chuckles.

Saeko: Not once. Even though my grades where the top of my class. The academy didn't see it so. I was also champion in my region for kendo.

Natsu: That's obvious the way you used your katana to fight off those guys demonstrated it. But that doesn't explain how I am so famous?

Saeko: The Occult Research Club.

His eyes widen.

Saeko: When the two most popular students of the academy start dating, all eyes are on them.

Natsu looks down a bit remembering Rias.

Saeko: I...I'm sorry if I brought up memories.

Natsu shakes his head.

Natsu: No..it's not that. I just haven't spoken to her or seen her in a very long time.

Saeko doesn't say anything. She feels guilty for bringing down the mood.

Saeko: Umm...even after you left Kuoh. Eyes where still on you. Rumors of a man with pink hair and a scaly scarf protecting Kyoto from a terrorist group spread. Of course everyone had doubts but for those who were sharp enough we knew it had to be you.

Natsu continues to eat as Saeko keeps on telling Natsu how she knows him.

Saeko: After I finished school, I left my small town I came to the city. At first I came looking for a job in Kyoto. Which I was able to find one. But then I moved to Tokyo once I got accepted to the university.
