Chapter 77: The Princess Vs The Priestess

Both dragons stood just a few feet from each other as they both just stared each other down. Neither Wendy or Locua made a move. Locua because she was caught of guard when Wendy blocked her initial attack, and Wendy because she's having doubts in her mind.

Wendy: Dammit! I want to attack first but last time I did that it cost me dearly. I can't go through that again I can't have Natsu worry about me anymore. I'm old enough to protect myself and fight back.

Locua: Having doubts?

Wendy looked at Locua once more. She was just smiling at her.

Locua: Doubting yourself? What's holding you back? Are you afraid you can't beat me? Afraid of what could happen if I beat you? Or are you waiting for someone to come save you?

Her smile grow even bigger when she says that. Wendy's eyes widen when she hears that. All the girls came running to the outside to see what was going on and they came just in time as Locua and Wendy are just standing across from each other.

Locua: Well? Which one is it?

Wendy can feel that her hands are beginning to sweat, as she continues to doubt her self even more.

Wendy: She's...she's right...I'm scared..I hit her without thinking and now that I'm here across from her I don't know what to do..I should stall for time like she said and hope that Natsu knows where I am.

She says to herself. She balls up her fist and looks at Locua one more time.

Locua: Before you attack. I want you to think carefully of your next move. You know nothing of me, and I know nothing of you. You don't know what kind of powers I use. All you know is that I'm a dragon.

Wendy: She's right...I know nothing of her..but she knows nothing of me either. This could be an advantage for me, but also one for her.

As she's thinking that to her self. She begins to hear her older brother's voice in her head.

Natsu: Wendy.

Wendy: Natsu? No...this isn't you...this is

Wendy looks up at Locua, the other dragon is confused as to why she's looking at her.

Natsu: You're smarter then me. Use your brain when facing an opponent you know nothing of. Lure them into a sense of security, make them think they have the mental and physical advantage over you and when they least expect it. You attack.

Wendy: You're right big brother.

She begins to have a flashback to her training with Irene.

Irene: Get up.

Wendy who is on the ground breathing heavily looks up at Irene who towers over her.

Wendy: I...I can't...

Irene: Get up Wendy.

Wendy: I...I can't I'm exhausted.

Irene aims her hand over Wendy and attacks. Wendy quickly moved and dodges.

Wendy: Irene San?

Irene: Do not call me Irene while we are training. I'm your master during training and Irene second.

After a few more minutes Wendy is holding onto her shoulder with her other hand.

Irene: Don't bother healing your shoulder.

Wendy looks at Irene surprised.

Irene: Your shoulder is broken. I made it so that you can't use your healing magic repair it, and don't think about inhaling the air around either. I won't let you.
