Chapter 61: Stand Alone

The next day couldn't come any sooner for Irene and the other girls who left Tokyo during the night to arrive in Northern Japan. They really didn't start there search for they arrived late in the night. They decided to stay in a hotel for the night where they can get a proper rest. Although everyone had a good nights rest to DiMaria it was one of over thinking. Things of her past kept running through
her mind. Her family, and friends, her motives for accepting the powers she now has. All of those things kept her up at night. For DiMaria it was rare to be so worried, as she's usually care free like Brandish. But the dream she had two nights ago where she dreamt of her past has her on edge. Just like the others she has also noticed the difference in Natsu. Even though she's an Etherious like him, and knows he can flip a switch and become a killing machine, she also knows Natsu very well. When she first met the dragon she didn't see the sinister and murderess E.N.D. She met Natsu the dragon. Natsu the man, who at the time had to baby sit his sister during the day and night watch over her as well as the others like an owl. While they slept Natsu would stay up and watch over them. During the day when his little sister would take her afternoon naps he would also take that chance and get some shut eye himself. He would do this until Wendy reached the age of 7. Once that happened Mira and the others would watch over Wendy while Natsu would slept. The next morning finally arrived as the girls all woke up DiMaria herself acted as she also woke up although she nearly stayed up all night thinking about things. Having breakfast and gotten ready to continue there search for Natsu they all headed out. Before they began there search they each separated in to groups of two Mira and Brandish, Irene and DiMaria. They decided on a place to meet after there search and began. To Irene, DiMaria seemed out of it, and she knew when her clan members had something bothering them.

Irene: that breakfast we ate sure filled me up. Did it fill you up?

She asked trying to start a conversation with her.

DiMaria: Yeah..

Irene: I wanted to apologize to you and the rest of the group all this happened because I wasn't there to help.

DiMaria looks in her direction.

DiMaria: No, this isn't your fault. If anything we're to blame for causing such a ruckus. But...

Irene: But what? Somethings bothering you isn't there?

DiMaria looks up towards the queen of dragons with a stunned face. Irene looks at her and smiles.

Irene: It's my duty as queen of this clan to know when my friends have something troubling them.

DiMaria smiles gently. Just as she's about to get ready to come clean about her past with Irene something catches both there attentions.

Civilian: Look everyone! It's our savior!

The civilians around the busy street all stop and look and the huge screen on a building that had Zeus broadcasting himself live. Everyone stopped in awe even the people in cars stopped to take a glance at their savior.

Zeus: my dear friends I have wonderful news for you all! Later  in the evening we will have a very special event for all of you. The day has finally come where we put this man.

Zeus: Finally gets what he deserves. Death!

Irene and DiMaria's eyes widen hearing this. Some civilians clapped and cheered, while others are not okay with the killing of a living being.

Zeus: You all very well know what this man has done, and his crimes against humanity. So I ask of you all to join us as we rid this country of unnecessary evil! But please do hurry seats are limited. See you all later this evening, have a wonderful day!
